I absolutely love this. You have made my TG dreams come true. The mythic holy grail Gristleizer is now a reality for all of us long time TG freaks. Wow. I’m late to the party but caught wind of this through the magic of RU-vid. I have immediately purchased all the modules (except TG5). I’m putting them in a Moog 60hp case to stack with my Moog DFAM and Subharmonicon, which will drive the rhythm sequences into the Gristelizer. What other types of modules would you recommend I add to this to make it shine on its own as a pulsating, gristly waveform machine? I have 40hp to spare (after adding a couple 2hp LFOs.) I’m somewhat new to modular aside from my tinkering around with the DFAM and Subharmonicon semi-Modular synths. Trying to build an ultimate Throbbing Gristleizer eurorack. You would certainly know best!
I absolutely love those "TG Logo" LEDs... they are SUPERB! I'd love to hear the story about your contact with Chris Carter and Roy Gwinn... all Gristleiser nerds (if that is a thing) know about Chris' "creation" of The Gristleiser and Roy Gwin's Practical Electronics article... but we're hungry for more (well I am anyway). Greetings from Wiltshire! :)
Oh wow this sounds absolutely awesome! CV'ing the filter with audio is a really cool idea, will have to try that on all the other modular filters now! I imagine they will sound quite differently depending on topology. (The ones we'll break we'll just have to replace with one devastator each :'DD )
you all prolly dont care at all but does anybody know a way to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot my account password. I would love any tricks you can offer me!
@Travis Zahir i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hey Dude it was great to meet you at the synth meet and hear your terrific sounds Talking to you was so inspiring Word up Peace and love from Bristol, England
Hi there! The Korg SQ-1 is outputting a pitch control voltage which then controls the frequency/pitch of the TG2. If you're new to CV, it's well worth reading up on - it's often described as the precursor to MIDI, but can really involve a lot more than just transmitting note information.
@@futuresoundsystems The Moog Subharmonicon has two main VCOs and has CV outputs for each- the manual states: “The audio of VCO1 is available at this jack. Audio/CV output: 10V peak to peak” Is this the same type of pitch signal as what the the Korg SQ1 is outputting to the TG2 VCO?
Woe, "guitar input"...?!?! Man, this seems quite out there! Hopefully, this will be on sale at AH (incidentally, have a bunch of your ajaks, always handy).
Brilliant. Are these going to be available as part of your regular stock or are they a limited edition? I would love to be able to save up for them and buy them as I go and not have to miss out on them. Thank you
I have two questions about your MTX9 81 point pin matrix. What is the difference between the passive and active versions? Will my eurorack modules get damaged if I connect two outputs or two inputs on either of versions of the MTX9?
Hey interesting vid ! But how do you know if your power supply have a +5V rail ? Also, how do you know if your module requires either 5V or 12V ? And what happen if you connect that module, which requires +5V, at your power supply if it does not have the +5V rail ? Many thanks !
