What if I want my customer to book an appt but I don’t want them to pay all upfront for it? Is that an option? I do massage, so I want to capture credit cards for late cancel deposit just in case, but I don’t want them to pay for the appointment until they’ve actually had the service.
When you are adding a rate and you use the carrier rates to calculate rates there is a paragraph under Service that I could use clarity on. This is when you are using the Shopify discounted rates. It say "rates based on your customer's address and the weight and dimensions of their order". I know where the weight is entered in the product but where do these dimensions come from? Also as far as understand Shopify only allows you to use one default box size. What does this section mean? Thank you.
In the section where you add the package sizes you can only use one of them as the default package to calculate rates at checkout. What is the point of having the other packages if Shopify only lets you use one size?
When i shipping, i want to use the P.O Box address. But in reality if i do shipping at my home address, i want to know how to do it. Your video was helpful.
This was very helpful thank you. I create a newsletter for every monthly ART CARD CLUB Subscription box and include in the box. To be able to upload as a blog is so useful. Thanks soooo much !
suppose my item cost 2usd. two customer ordered from different countries and i offer free shipping .how i will know each shipping cost and how much i have to increase my product price that i dnt loose money. i am using dropshipping store
We're actively using the Schedula app and were intrigued by the idea of testing out this app. However, upon closer inspection, it appears that this app is somewhat lacking in certain aspects, such as providing options for availability and additional costs.
This is a great video. Very clear and concise. I have a question about the handling fees you added for Alaska & Hawaii & Canada. Were those necessary to add or was that for demonstration only? When the postal codes or ZIP codes are entered does the shipping companies not give correct shipping fees to those far away places? Thank you.
Great questions, the shipping and handling fee is really for packaging cost, padding, and labor cost involved with shipping a product that you may encounter. Doesnt matter where the item is actually being shipped, you can add it (or not) at your discretion. Shipping rate calculators all seem to vary with shipping fees, especially with international destinations. Move cautiously had make sure you are covered with the rate being shown, test, test, test. Then go get um!
I have custom profiles set up but when someone ordered 3 of the same item they were only charged shipping for one item. How do I change it so each item is charged? Shopify told me I had to setup packages but in packages I don't see how to link a package to a product. My products range in weight from 8 oz to 200 lbs.
I like the app you are showing but is it now available on Shopify as an option. Im not seeing it. If it isn't available do you have another recommendation?
Literally, the most knowledge I’ve been able to find in the last three months of searching for somebody that knows from a regular person view on how to do things on the platform
Hey man, just wanted to let you know that you just solved a big problem that I’ve been trying to fix for three months now you really spoke some sauce there buddy .thank you
I am setting up to have products picked up by USPS from my business, which is also my home. Is there a way to suppress /hide my address on shipping labels? If I get a PO Box it would only be for returns. If I setup a PO Box as my location, then how would I be able to have products picked up from my home studio and shipped to my customers?
Add a new shipping ("warehouse" or "fulfillment") location as your PO BOX. Then go into your product and switch the inventory to that PO box address ("warehouse"). Make sure to have 0 inventory to your home address.
It should be driven off of the shipping address you enter. Use one from the country you want to test and continue on to method of payment, your shopping options for that country should then show up.
The best tool for upsell during the purchase process is this one bit.ly/3pS4Sd3 in my experience. I think you are on the right path because the best time to upsell someone is when they are already checking out and have passed that emotional stage of making a decision. I don't think there is any native tool built into Shopify to do this, must use a third party app.
I’m doing exactly what you’re doing and I get that error too. When I close out the error message though I don’t see the receipt like you do. It says my cart is empty. But in my orders on the admin page I see the orders. I contacted Shopify about it and it works for them but not me. Any ideas?
If it works for Shopify and not you it may be a browser issue, some things to try - complete the process in incognito mode, make sure your browser is up to date, try another browser from the one you are using. These may not work but I have run into issues similar and this has resolved it.
Hello there, thank you so much for this video! I’m starting to release my podcast in late August of this year and I noticed at 7:19 timestamp, you explain the process of making your episode live. Just for clarification: when an episode is live, will it be automatically available on Apple podcasts, google podcasts, etc.?
All the platforms you have connected will then receive the podcast and it will be available to those who listen on that platform, not instant but pretty quick.
