See but like more often than not whenever I say I do math. My art major friends are like “oh that’s super hard I could never” and I would never say anything against them. Now I will say I never fully understood why Artist pursue 4 year college, there seems to be little to gain when it comes to perfecting your craft like wouldn’t a conservatory or apprenticeship be a better path to become a good artist?
Ex art major: I thought critically enough to change my major to biochemistry because I didn’t want to be unsure if I’d have enough money to pay for food 😊 hope this helps
A fine arts degree should only be allowed for people getting their masters. A fine arts degree is “almost” worthless to a 22 year old who is still learning their style. 22 year old fine arts majors are often the worst demographic personality wise but they make great baristas. Study design in undergrad and learn the fine arts after gig once you have a steady job in a creative field.
My single dad bought me a cat figurine showing it’s pp. if he could, I’m sure he’d buy yours too. Context: i love cats, i collect cat things. He used to be pretty reserved, he only joke like this once he realized I’m mature enough.
What's with people shitting on stem majors now? Like okay, paint your cancer away ig since obviously stem is not needed cuz they can't critically think anyway
I was stem at first and switched to English and my mental health increased by approximately 9000% Critical thinking and the ability to genuinely communicate to understand and be understood with no misinterpretation is a life skill I’ll never be mad at.
Idk, art majors can be very incapable of thinking critically. Saying this as someone who’s passionate about art but switched into STEM because I didn’t want to do art as a career…but am still doing it as a hobby.
