Nonstop Dan is just a guy who has been obsessed with travel and airplanes for as long as he can remember. When he was 12, he started his RU-vid channel, which is now one of the largest aviation channels in the world.
I haven’t flown Air Asia in 17.5 years. I know that because my son is almost 17 years old and my wife was 3-4 month pregnant with him when we flew AA. We few AA as a late honeymoon, going from Chiangmai to Bali, through KL. We had a little over 3 hours built into the layover at KL. However, the plane was considerably late leaving CNX. We told our situation to the fight attendants and they said we would be arriving with an hour connection and they would communicate our situation to KL. We got there with the hour connection, got through immigration and had no checked bags, so we were at the gate with 30 minutes before departure. They were still boarding but refused to let us board. We had to wait until the next day to leave, so we had t get a hotel room for the night. We also had to pay full fare from KL to Bali. When I got home, I disputed the new airline charge and got that removed. The only time that I take Budget airlines is between CNX and BKK and there are several, so I have no need to ever take Air Asia again.
If it was a US airline, 100% he would have gotten kicked off I flew a short haul domestic business class with VN and loved it. For the amount I paid, which was only 50 USD extra for a 2 hour~ flight, no brainer
It is terribly unfortunate that some people feel entitled regardless of their physical condition. They should sit in the seat they paid for. If they wanted a better seat, there are options to pay for one.
I live now 24 years in Asia, and i know a lot about their culture and how and how not to behave. If he would asking nicely by the checkin and tell them the problem he would be upgraded. But the main problem is, many just book eco class and think they are entitled for better seats like him , , I had both of my knees replaced years ago (full replacement) and I know how cramped it could be in eco class so I booked since always in business class , , problem solved!
They even give us the direct way from Vietnam to San Francisco, no transit. Speaking of how good is it: most of my Vietnam Americans family members just go on Business class of Vietnam Airlines
DANN! u should try Vietnam Airlines on the a350 or the 787, they are so much better than the smaller a 321 as the seat and the plane are technically has been unchanged since forever.
Man, reminds me of this indian guy when i was flying air canada where he went to the wrong line and was yelling how hes tsa precheck In this situation, the guy, while being a bitter jerk about it (theres like 3-4 people in total lining up to go through security in toronto here, btw) when all he had to do was put his laptop in a box and take his shoes off ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Dude even did a whole "ive been traveling for a long time, i know what im doing", just, man, the entitlement and lack of awareness/self-respect to just, go with it
And yet, Garuda Indonesia is not mentioned again and I'm not surprised. They really need to step up their game and stop embarrassing us Indonesians hahahaha
Their international presence is just too miniscule to be noticed by most reviewers considering their post-Covid downsizing. Even pre-Covid, regionally their network outside Indonesia is very small when compared to regional rivals like SQ, MH and TG. It seems that most Indo carriers in general leave the international market to foreign carriers will they prioritize the domestic market.
@@akifiskandar4186 The pre-covid quantum leap kind of give a sense of hope by the airline with the re-introduction of AMS and LHR as well as new fleets, however eventually it turned out to be impulsive and thoughtless with many mismanagement. And yes, currently Garuda leave the competition for international market and decided to focus domestically but even then it can be too expensive and for some destinations the LCCs are the smarter choice to fly within Indonesia. GA is really fading and it's very sad 😥
Coz some Asian countries are like slaves to white travellers. So they learned they can shout in asia since asians will oblige in the end for the white travellers.
In 2019 I Booked a ticket with Scoot Air, 520€, they cancelled it due to Covid 19 and would only give me a voucher credit. When I used the voucher to pay for short/cheaper flight a year later, they didn’t credit me difference. After 3 years of one sided complaint they now have responded by saying the original terms of the credit have expired! Total bunch of thieves…never uses them, uses Air Asia or Cebu Pacific instead
