@@flightTribune No worries 👍😊. To be honest ;I didn't realise until I was told whilst there that "Burj" just means "Tower" so sometimes when i had the first word in my head I used to mix the meanings.
Hands down the best airport to fly in/out from India. Not only the infrastructure but Bangalore has the best connections after Delhi to connect to the world.
Looks modern but over crowded. Needs a much larger terminal keeping India’s growth in mind. In any case, Bangalore has more international connections especially to Europe and the US.
South Indians are known for cleanliness esp from Madras. I have no doubt they will look after this airport better than most of India and would be a pleasure flying out of. Arriving from Calcutta I was so surprised how organised transport system was and how organised everything was. I got the impression South Indians including Kerala treat their state as their country whereas people like in Calcutta and North India treat their cities like they belong to someone else!
South India may be better than most states of North India, but they have a long way to go, in terms of cleanliness and urban planning. Btw, I am a South Indian
Very tacky airport, already dirty in barely a year. Typical govt sector issues. The good thing is that the capacity is much larger than the traffic, so usually immigration is a breeze on departures!
Very good video I saw chennai too coverage is good !! beautiful airport but I always wonder why Indian govt either bjp or congress won't built airports in all major cities since we have 140 crore population and hardly 2-3K crore rupees for each air port ??

Worst City and Worst airport. Auto drivers and Uber Cab drivers demand extra money by threatening the passengers. Except Phoenix mall, All Shoping malls are maintaining like Bus Stand. Disgusting Area...

@@user-v2qdfg-v53e last time i was there in chennai, maintenance was so poor. the huge glass windows were full of pigeon poop you can barely see the other side. the bathrooms were so bad, there was about an inch of water in teh floor. and there was a janitor guy taking turns with other janitors in personally handing out napkins and collecting tips from foreigners. perhaps among the southern cities, chennai is the worst in maintenance & cleanliness. i wish the airport would be given to private & all the maintenance staff are all private.
Look at the country's roads and crumbling infrastructure. An airport is just for show. The streets, houses, sanitation, offices, railway stations, bus stations etc. show how beautiful a country is. And in India's case - ugly. Dirty beyond belief. I live here.

@@flightTribune Chennai is getting its new airport (near parandur) in another 3-4 years. bigger, better. The one in the video is managed by the govt agency called AAI.
