The rc church history is scary. 1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” Luke 1:46-47 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 1 Corinthians 10:4 “And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.” 1 Samuel 2:2 “There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. Mark 7:7. “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” 1 Timothy 4:3 “Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.” 2 Timothy 3:15 “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 1Ti 3:2 - A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; Tit 1:7 - For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; Hosea 6:6 “For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.” Rev 3:16 - So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Better to be a born again Christian and find a good Bible study group.

I have yet to see a priest perform miracles like the Apostles yet Catholic think everything apostles were blessed with applies to them . We see the apostles as Saints but Priest are as well ? No
@TruecatholicsTV
@TruecatholicsTV 9 дней назад
As a Catholic, it's important to understand that the roles of the Apostles and priests are distinct. The Apostles were uniquely chosen by Jesus and were granted specific charisms, including the ability to perform miracles, as signs of their divine mission and to establish the early Church. These miraculous acts were meant to confirm the truth of their teachings and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Priests, on the other hand, are ordained to continue the sacramental and pastoral ministry of the Church. While they may not perform miracles in the same way the Apostles did, their role is crucial in administering the sacraments, preaching the Gospel, and guiding the faithful. The grace given to the Apostles is believed to be present in the Church today through the sacraments and the apostolic succession. The holiness of priests is not measured by the performance of miracles but by their faithfulness to their vocation and their dedication to serving God and His people. Many priests throughout history have been recognized as saints because of their exemplary lives of virtue, sacrifice, and holiness. The sanctity of a priest is rooted in their commitment to living out the Gospel and their conformity to Christ.

@@TruecatholicsTV Thank you for your reply . It was helpful in understanding. But you didn’t talk why the apostle gifts stopped they are needed in every generation to confirm the Scriptures we have a large amount of atheist in USA and the Catholic Church has a majority of “Christian zombies” meaning they once where shown the Church but have fallen away . This is shown in Pew Research 2024 survey . It’s troubling and Catholic Leadership doesn’t seem to care . We both agree the Apostle were uniquely gifted so we can’t use them as examples of things like us praying to unseen Church just because they did it . Like you said they were unique in Jesus plan . Enjoy your content .

If you don’t ask Jesus Christ is your iniquity forgiven?
@TruecatholicsTV
@TruecatholicsTV 10 дней назад
According to Catholic teaching, the forgiveness of sins is primarily obtained through the sacrament of Confession (Reconciliation). This sacrament requires the penitent to confess their sins to a priest, who acts in the person of Christ. If you do not specifically ask Jesus for forgiveness through the sacrament of Confession, your sins are not ordinarily forgiven. The Catholic Church teaches that this sacrament is the ordinary means established by Christ for the forgiveness of sins committed after Baptism. Biblical Foundation: John 20:22-23: Jesus breathed on His apostles and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven." This indicates that Jesus granted the apostles (and their successors) the authority to forgive sins. James 5:16: "Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed." This encourages the practice of confessing sins within the Christian community. Theological Explanation: The sacrament of Confession involves contrition (sorrow for sin), confession (disclosure of sin to a priest), and satisfaction (penance). It is the ordinary means for the forgiveness of sins. Perfect contrition, motivated by love for God, can reconcile a person with God before they go to confession, but it still includes the intention to confess to a priest. Imperfect contrition, motivated by fear of hell, requires sacramental confession for forgiveness. In extraordinary circumstances where confession is not possible (e.g., imminent death with no priest available), God can forgive sins if there is genuine contrition and the intent to confess as soon as possible. While God’s mercy is boundless and can operate outside the sacrament in extraordinary circumstances, the ordinary means of obtaining forgiveness of sins according to Catholic teaching is through the sacrament of Confession. Thus, to ensure your sins are forgiven, you should confess them to a priest and ask for Jesus’ forgiveness through this sacrament.

A PAGANISM belief
@TruecatholicsTV
@TruecatholicsTV 2 месяца назад
In Catholic theology, canonization is the process by which someone is officially recognized as a saint, believed to be in Heaven and capable of interceding for believers. This process involves thorough investigation, including evidence of miracles attributed to the candidate's intercession, and declaration by the Pope. Paganism, on the other hand, encompasses various pre-Christian religions, often polytheistic, with diverse practices and beliefs. While both involve veneration of individuals, Catholic canonization is rooted in the belief in the communion of saints and the authority of the Church, whereas paganism typically lacks a central authority and varies widely in its beliefs about the divine and the afterlife.

@@EliasCarian Please read your Bible stop making any assumption about biblical facts. The Catholic canonization of saints is grounded in theological principles rooted in scripture, tradition, and the teachings of the Church. Here's a theological discussion of the biblical foundation of Catholic canonization: Communion of Saints: The Catholic Church teaches the "Communion of Saints," which includes the Church Militant (believers on earth), the Church Suffering (believers in purgatory), and the Church Triumphant (saints in heaven). This concept is derived from various biblical passages, such as Hebrews 12:1, which speaks of "a great cloud of witnesses" encompassing those who have gone before us in faith. Intercession of Saints: The practice of asking saints to intercede on our behalf is supported by biblical examples of intercessory prayer. In Revelation 5:8 and Revelation 8:3-4, the saints in heaven are depicted offering the prayers of the faithful to God. This implies a continued relationship between the saints in heaven and the Church on earth. Martyrdom and Virtuous Life: The process of canonization emphasizes the heroic virtue and holiness of the individual. This is consistent with biblical teachings on the call to holiness and the example of martyrs who faithfully witnessed to their faith, even unto death. For example, Hebrews 11 provides a list of Old Testament figures commended for their faith and virtuous lives. Recognition of Miracles: Miracles attributed to the intercession of a candidate for sainthood play a significant role in the canonization process. This is reminiscent of Jesus' own ministry, where miracles were signs of his divinity and confirmation of his teachings (John 10:37-38). Miracles associated with saints affirm their sanctity and the efficacy of their intercession. Church Authority: The Catholic Church claims the authority to canonize saints based on the commission given to Peter in Matthew 16:18-19, where Jesus promises to build his Church upon Peter and gives him the keys to the kingdom of heaven. This authority is seen as being exercised by the Church collectively, particularly through the Pope and the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. While the term "canonization" and the specific process may not be explicitly outlined in scripture, the theological principles underlying the Catholic practice find support in biblical teachings and the broader tradition of the Church. Canonization is seen as a recognition and proclamation of the sanctity of certain individuals who have lived lives of exemplary faith and virtue, serving as models and intercessors for the faithful.
