Just wandering how you pull down the baffel soffit blocker? I have a really low pitch roof, and unless I make a hook or something I don't think I could reach the end of the baffel once it's pressed into place
@jimginnyohio I'm going to open them up because there was little to no ventilation. What's crappy is I just replaced the plywood on my roof last week and nobody suggested adding baffles at the time.
Although this is good always get a professional to check as our strange regulations she may not know about or safety issues that have only recently been discovered such that they’re not in regulations but have been causing issues. Most of your safety concerns are okay in other countries simply because they don’t use the poor quality system implemented in America. It is worth knowing that certain circuit protective devices cannot operate with backfeeding power. You must always thoroughly check that with the manufacturer.
Thank you! So far it has worked well for keeping the summer heat from radiating thru the metal roof and into the barn. I'm looking forward to seeing how well it holds the heat in when I use the mini-split this winter. I'm not sure that it needs to be covered. So far, it has not degraded in any way. However, I do find that I need to be careful not to lift items too high and accidentally punch a hole thru it. Since it's 10-feet high, that hasn't been an issue so far either. I do plan to paint it in the upcoming months so it better matches the walls.
Connect it to a good battery until it reaches a certain voltage and it will then be able to accept a charge through the normal usb-c cable. A battery in a running vehicle speeds this process up.
Funny you should say that. I bought one 2 years ago and charged it a couple of time and now the screen just flashes but no output. So I'me in the process of trying to charge it the way Jim is suggesting. And so far so good. So maybe it died because I don't charge it enough? How often are you charging it?
What if someone takes a screw driver (or something) and dents the hasp so they can get enough access to wrench out the hex bolts? In that case, would the nut and lock washer in the back do anything to stop that? Or would the hex bolt just come right off
I’ve been cooking and baking for my bullies for 3 years but want to purchase a freeze dryer. Can anyone advise which one they use that they love. They are pricey so I want one that will last. TIA
Jim, thank you for the video. Tomorrow, I plan to upload a video on my partially disassembled NOCO boost, same item. I placed it back on charge with a 200W charger with the factory cable. It’s pulling 4 watts at the moment. To disassemble it I bought a triangle bit set. Anyway, you have won my first meme vinyl sticker. Yes, I am using a PC with a router that makes me look like I am in Kenya and won the lottery. No Joke. Just a lie. I live in BAMA. Let us all know what you think the battery is. Thanks again.
Looking forward to your upload. I might need to open my gbx155. Used my variable power supply set to 10 volt 0.5mA via the usb-c clips same as Jim. However after I plugged in my regular usb-c charger for 1.5 hours but still no lights coming on...perhaps I need to leave it like that for a day or so.
@@eshock-z7k What I ended up doing after seeing on RU-vid. Was to use the charger for the cigartte lighter. I left my truck running for 20 minutes. The power pack went into fast charge mode and that solved the problem. It the charged normally. My pack is back to normal. good luck.
This video helped explain a lot of things to me and helped me get back on track to using baffles. I have an aluminum roof with old an cedar frame that gets super hot in the summer. I will probably install a radient barrier later as well. Thank you for your excellent video.
I don't have this issue but was intrigued by the subject matter! My question is something that has always given me pause: USB connections are usually rated for 5V, yet this is a 12V charger. You were able to charge 12V thru the USB cable and port. Could the 12V have damaged the USB output on the NOCO, preventing future use of the port for say, charging cell phones? Or, are 5V & 12V close enough that at low amperage there is no problem? I guess, I'm always worried about frying something if the voltages don't match. Thank you for this very informative tutorial.
I've been using fly paper rolls around my live stock area keep things manageable. When it comes time to change it out with a fresh one, I let the chickens pick at it before I dispose of it. They get quite frisky when they notice I am changing out the fly paper traps.
Horse flies are super annoying. Whenever I step out my door they land near the door or garage door and just watch me waiting for me to not notice them. At certain times of the year they keep me inside.
Super video, I also have a gbx155, I completely followed your method before charging there was 8v, now there is 14v but I still can't charge it, I tried different charging methods and I still get the fix red light. The booster works and charges up to 50% with the trickle charger but never with the USB C. Do you have any idea why it won't charge? Thanks for your help
Did the indians have much of an effect to keep the white people from flourishing the country? Sparrows are cute and are here to stay, they have thrived and ought to be our national bird. Also, make amazing pets if raised from a baby. Let them fly or you won't!
Here In Ireland the scum bags use bolt cutters which make easy work of any exposed metal padlock. Get them locks boxed in with steel plates leaving just enough space to open the lock.
I had this exact model. It sat in my truck for 4 months. Brand new! Then it went dead. Would not charge! This trick saved me from throwing out my NoCo. It 100% worked! I left my trickle charger on for 20 minutes and made sure it was selected to lithium battery! THANK you! I ordered the two connectors and jumpers but used my own maintainer. PERFECT!!!
For anyone looking to add baffles AND a radiant barrier. You can use the radiant barrier as a baffle. There’s RU-vid videos on it with a quick google search. Will save money and time
25% off through end of Aug '24 if an Inside Trac Member, just picked one up today. I thought it came with wood like the dollies but nope. Thanks for your walkthrough.
Hello. I have a GB70 and I did your method but I have charged it for 3 days and it has barely reached 10v... why is it charging so hard? at first I was charging it with 12v now I use another 16v. from 2.4v to 10v in 3 days seems a lot to me. thank you
It's possible you have a damaged or bad cell in there. In that case, this charging method won't work. Sorry! You can try completely draining the battery pack and attempt again a couple times. Sometimes that will help get things working again.
@@costiciuca9506 Connect everything as I explain how to charge, but then use the positive and negative leads to connect to some sort of load instead until the battery is completely drained. then try charging again.
@@bandito5370 If your unit isn't charging via the normal method, you must bypass the Battery Management System to get it to work again. Trickle charging via the battery clamps will not work since that goes thru the BMS.
Thanks so much for making this video. After having my second Noco Boost jump box die I was about ready to toss it and move on to another brand. Came across your video and was able to save it using your technique. Thanks so much for helping the community!
