Thanks man, many times I've tweaked all these filter envelope settings and heard no difference whatsoever. I was going insane thinking my operator was completely broken or installed incorrectly since I got it separately off the Ableton website, but I just needed to set "Envelope" to something other than 0% 🤦♂
So cool! You recreated everything but the vocals using just your computer, and a midi controller keyboard, yes? Constructed all the sound patches from scratch?
Nobody EVER mentions how you change the patterns on the fly. The manual doesn't even mention it; all I can see is that you can mouse click a different-lettered pattern but there apparently aren't any keyswitches or something similar to do it, which means you really can't switch while playing something back without possible timing problems.
You have to run EW Installation center. You would download it from your soundsonline.com account. Then set your desired installation path for the VST 2.0. with the VST3 version, if it's not configurable it would default to your default VST3 folder location. If you reloacate the Play.dll you may have difficulty getting the VST engine to work.
@@squid_dream6732 I'm not sure I understand. If by instruments you mean "samples" you can set the library directory under the browser tab in the plugin in the upper left vhand side. Click library then right click in one of the slots below and you should be able to locate your library.
I think the beauty of this routing configuration for MIDI FX is that it keeps your MIDI source and destination on just the one single track in the DAW versus creating an additional synth track and choosing the MIDI source as the input for the VSTi. I've never seen anyone else do it this way so kudos to you for showing us how. Haven't tested this yet but I'm guessing you could add several MIDI FX and have them sending on different MIDI channels to different VST instruments within the same multi instrument. This would also give you the option of sending the MIDI output of one MIDI FX to different synths based on pitch i.e. by splitting the keyboard etc
This is really cool. please remake it, but explaining better and reupload. Perhaps don't show it already done, show the process on a clean project and show step by step for us slow ones.
I'm not sure what you mean, if you mean the volume output of the corresponding bus channel in "play's mixer panel" then yes, just click on the middle tab (plugin settings) in the fruity wrapper (top right hand side of plugin window), then click on "processing", then click on 'auto map outputs' or you can manually set them from there.
@@geosynth7371 Hi. Thanks for replying. You know in the channel rack, when you add a midi out, you are not able to assign it to a track on the main FL Studio Mixer. I was wondering if it's possible to route the volume to one of the channels on the main FL studio mixer.
@@Jay-wr1wh I think I understand, the midi out "controller" doesn't actually channel any audio through itself. It only addresses midi CC information using channels 1-16 to play notes. You can assign a knob in the midi controller to adjust midi volume, cc 7, and many other parameters. Be sure to assign the knob to correspond midi channel you are using the midi controller for 1-16, as the individual knobs can be assigned to any other channel even though they are in the midi controller already assigned to a particular midi channel set by you. In play's mixer panel you can set a separate output for each midi channel, this way FL's mixer can adjust the volume for each midi controller's channel 1-16 individually.
Hey I found your video on kontakt in reaper and setting up midi super helpful. Could you please make it so its not "meant for kids" so I can add it to a youtube playlist?
I’m not certain what dynamics you’re referring to, but you automate with CC (continuous controllers) volume, pan, etc. under “browse parameters” click on the drop down menu on the upper left of the fruity wrapper of the plug-in.
@@geosynth7371 ive tried to connect east west play to midi out controller and set the automation paramters on the knob to cc1 modulation wheel so i can auotmate the dynamics but seems like it does not work the volume cc7 works but cc1 doesnt
