Thank you for visiting my page, I am an automotive mechanic and work on pretty much anything with wheels and a spark plug, sometimes I do diesels but is not my cup of tea… thank you 🙏🏻 very much for checking my page!! Have a wonderful day!!
Well that's 12 minutes of my life I'll never get back you ran your mouth and ran your mouth but you never said what was wrong if you want to babble just to hear yourself go stand in front of a mirror
Well buddy, I don’t have a crystal ball and I had a truck with no power to anything, no communication or power until I unplugged the drivetrain control module… If that didn’t ring a bell, then not sure if any video can help you!!! The truck runs on the second video… Good luck with the parts cannon!!!
There are 6 pins at the motor assembly connection. Do you have any idea how those are mapped? I'd like to test the motor before putting in my new one and going through this work.
Hi, I’ve been trying to add a diagram to this comment but I can’t, but this one the pin 1 lgt green/red and pin 4 blu/red are for the motor. Pin 2 is black and ground. This is at the motor
Thank you for this video. I got in an accident decided to get my front grille and radiator replaced (prior accident) while it was in shop. Truck been in shop over a month alreadybno error prior, not until they work on front. They told me unrelated but my app shows me the error started when they worked on it
So basically Subaru has issues with window motor too... I have a 2015 Forester and it has been a nightmare. The cvt Transmission, engine, electrical wire harnesses in engine bay, reverse didn't work, compressor for AC went. All b4 100k miles.... I purchased mine brand new off the lot 10yrs ago and it's been a nightmare.
You don't have to do all of that. Take the fan out. Unbolt the motor mounts. Jack the motor up about 1 to 2 inches put the blocks of wood in the gap where the mounts are up. Take your jack off the front of the motor to get it out of the way. Take the pan off. No need to mess with anything else at all. Just do a good job cleaning so it seals properly. I've done it. There is also another video that shows this on RU-vid.
Hello excellent video ..have a question the diagram u showed it showed the 40 amp fuse and the other u called logic fuse 5amp ...where is that located ?
Hi, the fuse is in the trunk is fuse 152 5amp, the 40amp fuse is 148 so they are close to each other. I have a video with the replacement of parts. I didn’t replace the fuses but it shows where the box is and the relay. There are only a couple 5amp on the rear fuse box. Let me ask you this “why do you wanna check that fuse?” Let me know if I can help with anything else!! Thanks
Was this causing the blow off valve to not work properly? Because right now my trucks BOV wont work while engine is idle, it only turns on when truck is running
Sorry I don’t understand the question… A blow off valve (BOV) is a device that helps regulate pressure in an engine by allowing air to escape when needed. By doing so, it prevents damage to the engine and helps keep it running smoothly. Blow off valves are often used in turbocharged engines, as they can help prevent “boost creep” (when too much boost pressure builds up in the engine). That fluttering noise that some turbocharged cars make when the throttle is suddenly closed, such as during gear changes, results from a compressor (turbo) surge. In another words it shouldn’t be on at idle… I hope this answers your question…
Have the same issue but without the sound. 2016 XC90 T6, P0171 code, engine light on (sometimes I've seen a fuel trim code as well, but it's not there anymore). The car doesn't stall or anything, if it wasn't for bad fuel consumption and the engine light I would never know. Took it 3 times to the Volvo dealership, but they can't find the issue. They re-did the supercharger seal after a smoke test revealed a small leak, they changed spark plugs, and now the rear O2 sensor. Short-term runs close to 0% at idle, and long-term is around 12%. I took the oil cap off and could see there was some vacuum (not much), but it did not impact the engine's RPM at all when I did that. There is also some white smoke coming from the exhaust and the exhaust is also pitch black, but the oil level is stable for many miles, and doesn't seem to be burning oil. Bought a smoke machine and I'll try to find a vacuum leak myself. I'll also check for the same thing you did, just want to get rid of this damn running lean code!
Sometimes on those Volvos you have to reset the fuel trim with a good scanner… or otherwise is like you never fixed… Look at short term fuel trim at idle and also when cruising. If they are higher at idle, you most likely have a vacuum leak or breather issue, if they are higher at cruising speeds then look for a fuel delivery or air flow meter problem. I hope this helps and keep me on the loop!!! Good luck
Mine is 2014 ecodiesel, says ignition or accessory on and it won't start, can anyone help me out with some tips!! I'm sooo disgusted with Chrysler and ram!!! Battery showing 12 volts.
First thing I do is run a full scan with a good scanner… all the modules then check the starter also the main engine ground. Make sure your test light is connected to the battery… I hear you about Dodges, and the newer ones are absolutely crap!! Good luck man!!!
Hi, as far I know the only issues I saw with the high pressure fuel pump on those were lack of maintenance and the camshaft lobe got damaged or the pump was leaking fuel into crankcase… what is your problem?
Unplugged the module under carpet on passenger side it communicated and started I had to cycle the key. Then I purchased a used one on EBAY. The ABS light was on after that and it needed an ABS module that had to be programmed. Good Luck 🍀👍
Nice video , hope the parts man sent the 2 little seals. I have to say the van without the variable pump and actuator on top is the easy one ! Next is the saloon car inline engine with the variable actuator but has a little more room forward. The worst is tha A class, which is transverse with the actuator and NO room , requiring so much dismantling its unreal. Oddly I have never replaced one for a failed bearing , all have been for a stuck ball valve causing overheating problems , but all the drivers stopped let it cool down saving the engines. Perhaps they don't get to the mileage when the bearings failed and valve failed first...There again I don't work on Van's. Thanks for putting up the video you deserve a cold one , or two 😊.
I had another one a couple weeks ago same engine as yours with a p0171 a little whistle at idle I smoke test the engine it was leaking at the oil cap the oil ring was mangled good luck mate!!! But definitely smoke test you can buy a cheap on online they work ok!!!
I replaced the bags, compressor, and relay on my 2015 X5. But absolutely nothing is working. The compressor will not kick on at all. Do you HAVE to have a scan tool to make it work?? Should it just start working on its own??
