Get two routers. Hardwire your second router to your main router and create a completely separate network on the second router. I do this and only have my ps5 and Apple TV hardwired into the second router and only my portal uses its WiFi connection. Never get drops. It feels native
It’s an ok stand however the annoying part is aligning the stands charging port to the portal for charging, it’s not like a dock where it just would slide in without fear of breaking it.
Mine works fine and the new update made it even better and My PS5 is connected to WI-FI but Even better when connected to router but So far an Amazing Accessory for The PS5 just make sure you go to settings and set it up right I have to change it from 2060p with VRR 4k 120 and HDMI Set up so That it works properly
Ive had the portal for about 2 months now and i love it around my house so far. Its honestly a great experience for me. Very comfortable big screen and smooth gaming. Haptics are great
It was great when I was traveling. Great design. Played Jedi survivor with no issues, home WiFi and iPhone hotspot. I was over 2k miles away from my hardwired PS5. Still not great for games like Warzone, WiFi or hotspot. Also, bring back PlayStation Vue tv service!
i find it weird in the Philippines, my portal is working fine away from home when using DITO sim. It has a NAT type 2 and 4G connection same in the PS5 at home connected via wifi. If I switch it to 5G, Nat type will undetermined and failed to connect to PS5.
Hey everyone! I hope you enjoyed this video of me explaining how to get the best wireless streaming experience using remote play! Whats your favorite device to use with remote play? Let me know in the comments below 🫡 Thanks for watching!
I don’t believe so for mobile phone hotspots they don’t require login screens just passwords. Now for the new update (3.0.0) you have the option to login to a PUBLIC WiFi network that has a login webpage. It only works with 2.4ghz networks only as of now. In my latest video about the new update I was able to get it work with a 5ghz public WiFi network at Starbucks.
Peace Sleepy, welcome to the squad! I actually sold my Xbox as well a few years ago. Never looked back. The story mode games are top tier🫡🔥🎮 thanks for your comment!
@@jmhollabaughgaming9329 oh dang! I see from PlayStation (on Amazon) that it was listed for 139.99! Either way you made a good decision! Hope this makes your gaming experience better 🫡
@TechMarkGaming I don't use that option a ton because I play in a game chat with the same 12 ppl most of the time so I have individually adjusted everyone but there is that one and a while it came in handy.
Yet there's still no access to your own youtube or Disney plus which is on your own ps⁵ to start with, it's ridiculous 🙄. RU-vid should be as standard when you log in, instead they've not allowed you to access it, it's stupid .
Nah man, I have a good wifi connection and I have a PS5 and the Portal and this thing is terrible. It's non playable for me because of how bad it constantly lags and stutters.
@@TechMarkGaming I figured man it connects to the hotspot then after a minute it can not connect to the PS5. I can see my PS5 boot up out of rest mode but it won't get passed the connecting part on my portal
Hey Eden, happened to me as well! I have a video on my channel called 'Reduce Latency on Your Playstation Portal: Quick Fix!' To fix this issue. After completing these steps unplug and replug in your PS5 AND TV/ MONITOR. Hope this helps!
Great device in general. Not so much for racing games. Doesn't steer anywhere near as good as a regular controller. Played GT7 and ACC. Apart from that it's great. They've improved remote play to where it's good now. No need for hard wiring ps for a good connection. All in all, id say the portal is a success for £200. I own a fair few handhelds. Legion go and portal are my go to devices.
