Founded and abandoned and only the Igbo used something similar called the science department to fight the Biafran war with effectiveness. They invented Africa’s first armoured tank called the Red Devil that terrorised the Nigerian armed forces. They converted passenger carrier planes into Jet bonnets the if the Igbo had gained their independence when that war they would be the dominant technological power on the African continent by a million miles before number 2 nation. Corruption and incompetence due to tribalism and religious biases has limited Nigeria’s capacity and ability to build weapons in war including war planes and warships for the African continent by at least 90%. We hope to see changes as we have started to make progress curved we cannot manufacture enough weapons and equipment to arm 5 million troops within 5 years then we are wasting our time as our government and continent will keep on buying from our historical enemies who always sell us equipment that they have retired and selected from those going to the scrap yards so they remain ahead of us technologically. Federal republic of Nigeria must manufacture everything including nuclear weapons within the next 25 years. If we don’t our system of government must be erased and the nation rebooted for efficiency. The future of our race depends on Nigeria and it’s about time we wake up. We can’t depend on Russia. Let’s give Africa ah alternative. Plus there is money to be made in defence. 5% of the annual budgets of African nations can be coming through Nigerian economy and that would create permanent jobs.

If they were all genuine Nigeria would been advanced by now, but what they say and what they do are opposite, listening to them U may get inspired but see the roll Call since 1902 or so till today, why are they still buying foreign weapons?

Why are they buying weapons? Lol during military regime when Nigeria was processing their nuclear plant the U.S sanctioned us. For some reasons African countries are not allowed to own some certain weapons except under significant threat. Do you know the level of processing and approval it took before the West would let Nigeria purchase and use the Super Tucano aircrafts? The major nations in the world with strong weapon manufacturing industries are those who manufactured weapons through the world wars. Other countries (colonies) who only supplied soldiers for the war get restricted. You might want to say that India was also a colony and that they have super weapons but India has always had a super enemy Pakistan. Plus they are in Asia a continent where countries fancy military power and collaborate for weapon manufacturing. If you think Nigeria is backwards in terms of weapon you should understand that there are many things involved in us having the best weapons. I e Africans have to unite to produce their weapons, you can't say you want to make a fighter jet alone. Even China had to partner with Pakistan and even buy Major components from some European countries to make some of their jets. If that was something done in Nigeria, Nigerians will have said Nigeria assembled Chinese or German fighter jet but over there Pakistans embarrassed the weapon as if it was fully made by them.

@@emmanuelogundipe3328 u must be erudite, the way u presented ur opinion here based on fact n figures no emotion no sentiments. But at some point Africans have go alone, we will not be underdogs for ever. Our facilities of engineering need to wake up n start making design that we can use. From simple tools first

@@ogumka1976 We're lucky to have some independent companies that are already doing this. But these companies need funding and investment. The reason Nigerians still see the automobile industry as assemblers not manufacturers is because steel components of those vehicles are imported and steel takes at least 50% of the car part if not more, which means that the absence of steel plant in the country is one of the reasons manufacturing is quite expensive in Nigeria and I think the business men ( IVM, Nord and Proforce) who defile all odds to start stuffs like this should be applauded and not discredited because they are doing something that the critics themselves wouldn't dare do. Especially Proforce that's fully into weapon manufacturing. I was surprised to hear that despite the recognition South Africa has in terms of weapon production, Proforce a Nigerian company was the only military hardware company that represented Africa in military hardware exhibition that took place... I think last year. Interestingly that same company has been commissioned to supply The Nigerian Army with weaponry. Something that ought to have happened a long time ago. Funny how that company has been existing in Nigeria since 2008 and has never been recognized by the government until they were patronized by Belarus. But I think Nigerian engineers are beginning to come back home just like the founder of Proforce who worked in China or Japan and the founder of Nord who used to work with Benz. Hopefully the rest will come in but they won't want to do that unless there are possibilities of investment in their industry. For instance a Nigerian is building a driverless bus in the U.S and is doing great. Imagine him coming home and not having the required materials to do his thing just because the country doesn't have means of processing raw materials that they have in abundance (steel). Good side is that despite the difficulties, the Nigerian Navy has been manufacturing and selling gun boats to other African countries. Just that such stories don't make the news. But whenever we buy boats from other countries the news agencies won't fail to air those stories.

OC stood at at ease by the Right hand marker waiting for the warrant officer to finish confirmation of the men in parade before he is been invited in to inspect the men and confirming them ok for drills. After that the OC(major) will kindly report to the brigade officer on horse.., (brigadier general) telling him the men are ok. So it goes stage by stage until the special guest of honor maybe president or his representative will be acknowledged of the men on drills, ready
