Unfortunately he may of been a victim of a scam himself. Theirs alot of people who have been starting the pokemon collecting hobby recently so when they go buy a booster bundle they see a cheaper one for like 15 dollars so they think its a deal but when they open it.. they think the cards are legit when in reality their are some good fakes but you can usually tell by ripping one for example i actually bought TWO fake sets ON PURPOSE from two different sources just so i could see how "accurate" they are in person as a collector its important to know the signs of fake cards especially when trading at events and i can confirm these fakes can easily fool a person..they even had me fooled for a moment i was wait wtf is this real..it was such a good fake too.. while the second set was (a bit easier to spot) one of the cards i was handling looked SO REAL (didnt look like a sticker) but when you finally rip it.. you can get the sticker right off which is crazy because the thing doesnt even look like a sticker and you CANT take it off unless you rip it thats how decieving it is to the point you cannot tell its a sticker it's only when you rip it that the cardboard gives way for the sticker to come off. The perfect place to test a fake? Tik tok. They sell TONS of fakes theirs probably videos out there that'll show you how good they are at disguising it but that first set was ridiculous BECAUSE it passed the light test but.. luckly i had a real version of the same card and after comparing i could tell the font and background wasnt like the real version but i could see how some of these good fakes could totally give way for a person to believe they got a real set. Sad but its just the way it is in this hobby. Make sure you get your cards from good sources. Pokemon cards are expensive. I only wasted my money to SAVE money for the future as i can use those for comparisons which could definitely help if i need to show traders like my self at card shops where you can play, events and card shows etc.
I know I wrote a lot but this information could definitely be useful for someone who's a serious collector who wants to start collecting pokemon cards Avoid buying your cards from unfamiliar or shady sources. If your buying from eBay make sure to check their feedback! Theirs card sellers who get a huge amount of purchases a day and those are usually the verified ones if your buying a booster box or an ultra premium collection box or any pokemon card product.. just know EVERYTHING can be faked. Whether it's a good fake or a bad fake doesn't matter when the person already bought the box from an online source where they may not be able to retrieve a refund from. Just research your sources.. look through who your buying from! It's better to spend 10 dollars more and know your buying from a verified card seller who has several people(s) buying from them daily.
I understand it's fake but why is it 30 times more beautiful? it doesn't make sense, it seems like Pokemon game ads made by unknown companies. “Those games look amazing btw”
The rip test is so stupid. It's like the witch hunt, when the woman was drowned and dead then she was innocent. There's no going back from being ripped.
