ORAL HISTORY / MUSEUM POLIN COLLECTION is the channel of the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews presenting interviews with witnesses of history and biographical narratives about the fate of Polish Jews.
POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews boasts a collection of over 1 000 oral history accounts. The majority of the interviews were conducted by way of a biographical method, in AV formats. Our interviewees are mostly Polish Jews, their descendants, or Poles who were witnesses of Jewish life stories. We record the accounts of representatives of three generations: the wartime generation (people born prior to the outbreak of WW2), the postwar generation, and the youngest generation, growing up during the period of political transformation in Poland (late 1980s, early 1990s).
