I preordered the white one too. I can see that the black one is still up for preorder five days out from the first day, while the white is still out of stock. I don’t think this happened because the white one was more popular. Quite the opposite. I think analogue likely anticipated that black would actually be the more popular color, so they stacked a hell of a lot more resources towards the production of those models over the white ones. There’s no way they made the same amount of each, yet one sold out in mere hours while the other one is sitting there nearly a week later. White isn’t THAT popular. They likely just looked at their own analytics with the Duo and Pocket, saw that black was a best seller, and off that info they decided to prioritize stock in black for the 3D. They even restocked the Pocket, and it’s only in black as of right now, even though white was also a default color for it. In a way, this kinda makes analogue’s white models a limited edition. Sort of.
I can name more than just five good N64 games worth playing. I'll name 15: Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Mario Party 2, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Zelda Majora's Mask, Diddy Kong Racing, Donkey Kong 64, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Perfect Dark, GoldenEye 007, Jet Force Gemini, Starfox 64, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie. That's all off the top of my head. I didn't even have to look it up. There's also Rayman 2 which is cool but I know some will argue that the PS1 or Dreamcast versions are better but the N64 version is still a great way to experience it.
Also for what it's worth there was a time around a year ago where your channel was all the hype in our community, hopefully you are able to make more content on a regular basis and you'll reach far beyond 1,000
I feel penalized because I've been a fan of Xbox since the original console and miss out on this and other exclusive games. I'm not hating on the switch but I thought the hardware was dated at release compared to their competition, but at the same time I suppose Mario and Zelda games don't need high specs to look decent.
Nope it might at first but then it’s completely dead with no signs of life at all. If you try another power supply and still nothing it’s most likely the fuse. If the light comes on it’s still getting power from he fuse. I’d replace it anyway since it’s cheap. Could be voltage issue.
I have one, literally taking the dust... If you want to play your collection of GB/GBA cartridges it's probably one of the best device, thanks to it's screen for the most part, but for the price just buy a used steam deck. So much more use case with a SD. Also the Analogue pocket is pretty uncomfortable in the hands I think. For cheaper, many Chinese device do a pretty good job for much cheaper and with better ergonomics. Don't listen to FPGA fanboys about accuracy, I have a mister myself, but nowadays emulation is just as good, for cheaper (except maybe the upcoming mister pi from taki udon which is about to crush prices)
I love all my Analogue products, but am excited for the Analogue 3D that they say is coming this year! Can't wait to play Hangtime, Wave Race, Mortal Kombat, Cruisin USA... all over again!
Id' personally say it depends on your use case. If you want a mobile device that plays all those retro games but don't care about the form factor, the steam deck is vastly superior. But if you want a small pocketable device specifically for gameboy games, yeah i'd get one.
