Welcome to Own The Hunt! My name is Cote and I’m a passionate Maine Sportsman. I love all things hunting! I created this channel to document my adventures and experiences while outdoors in the great Maine Woods! Primarily, I will feature Predator night hunting, and Whitetail Deer hunting among occasional other miscellaneous hunts. I’m here to remind you to “Own the Hunt”.
When the scope is in rest mode and you come across the like som button or menu, it turns on. if you pull the rifle on the axle and hit one of the buttons, it turns on. Can't find any settings for that. On ather scope you most press on power button to get it on
Well Cote, just wanted to let you know I bought my Pulsar Thermion Pro XQ50LRF after your review awhile back and today my Iray RH50R arrives. So if you run into a strange woman shaking a finger in your face and swearing you're the reason her husband wouldn't buy her that new living room furniture pay no attention it's just my wife. lol
Why does Amazon have so many 1 and 2 star reviews? Many reviews say they quite working within weeks. Have you bought and used these calls or did they send them at no cost? Please be honest.
Not sure why the poor reviews. I have bought my first one and used it a year without a single issue. Since then I joined the pro staff team and have tested several of their callers. Not a single issue. I would buy them 10 times out of 10 even if I weren’t on the pro staff. I honestly love them. The cheap callers are not that good.
Hey just curious as to why you made the switch to fatboy? Seemed like you spoke very highly of two vets so I purchased a tripod last week but now seeing the comments and you’ve switched?
I am not impressed I own two of them. They are very fucking loud. Do not get them Dusty. I live in Iowa. Travel a lot of gravel and let me tell you what they are fucking loud. You better carry a can of WD-40 with you and they are not smooth. Do I have to post a video?
I’m living this right now. In the learning process. Finally had one come in about 100 yards from the field barking but failed to come the last few feet.
I went with the Vortex Radiant and purchased both heads. In the end I chose Vortex for the Warranty since I had to purchase without seeing. I’d like to try the fat boy down the road for sure. Wish someone carried them so I could see one in person. Great video.
@@OwnTheHunt - agreed. I'm wanting to use it with a couple of Ruger Mark IV's, they are single stack. I'll cut and put some hard form rubber in the jaws of the rest to grip the pistol.
@@OwnTheHunt Im working on a bench/tripod setup to shoot prairie dogs at 500+ yards. Its usually a little window so rigid while adjusting windage is important. Led-sleds stink! I hope this is the golden ticket.
@@sethnordmeyer1636 haha that is exactly what it is. I originally had built a storage box with drawers for tripods and one for rifles and I lined the rifle drawer with this 2” high density foam. Well I sold the truck I built that box for and it doesn’t fit my new truck so I tested just the foam in the bed and put a moving blanket down first and the rifles ride really well on that foam and don’t move at all.
What part of Maine are you guys in? I live in southern Maine by the boarder. I was curious how many coyote are in this area. I have access to land up past north Anson, North New Portland area but was hoping I didn't have to drive too far to be successful. I just moved to where I am now and it's def. allot more populated down here
@@alexgustafson2582 we’re in the Waldo county area and we definitely have coyotes but they also have plenty of woods to stay in so it’s hard to pull em out at times. Winter has proven to be the hardest time.
I have the XP50. Id consider the XL50 for better ID range and less focusing due to the 12um pixel pitch. I dont think I'll be upgrading. Couple other overlooked features for Telos: they are the only device that uses 5g band for connectivity, making it the best wireless streaming device out there. And folks dont ever mention how large the screen is... massive!
Thank you for watching and for your insight! I don’t feel the screen is massive because I run the sidewinder which I feel has the best screen of any monocular on the market! Have you looked through one yet?
Forgetting to load your gun....Forgetting to hit record....I'm starting to see a trend here. Gonna have to let Brandon do it all going forward...Ha Ha jk, good stuff fellas!
@@OwnTheHunt don’t tell me that lol I just got the Bolt 60c last Saturday. And now you’re telling me another crazy good one is on the way from someone ??? I can’t win hahaha
@@OwnTheHunt good thing is the resell on high end units offset a lot when new ones come out. You may take a small hit but probably get enough to grab the new and shiny easier
You are an awesome podcast host! You brought out a lot of great questions and that hour went by fast!! Anyone buying a thermal scope for the first time will 100% benefit them!
