is there any clutch involved when your pulling the front end up? I was on mine a couple days ago, 1st gear doing like 20-30 mph pulled up in the bars and gave it a fist full of gas and the front came up nice and smooth. i’m a total beginner btw had my bandit about 4 months ago
They come out of nowhere trust me I know I got hit on four wheels a few months back and got hurt really bad and it hit on collision and then I just got pulled out in front of them on my bike and just a little bit ago.
If learn with the throttle sensitivity of 1st gear then second gear becomes much easier, just keep in mind there'd be less engine brake in 2nd so master the rear brake. And most importantly, do it safe take your time
I have a Bandit 1200 SA / 1999 with a BOS Exhaust and this is my story: On the 24th of February this Year (2024) i stood at an Intersection, next to me a Mamasboy not older then 23ish with a Lambo. Probably his Peni*** extention looking at me and playin with his throttle, so did I, and he understood it as a GO FOR A RACE. When we had green light he pushed the throttle like an idiot, just to crash and total the Lambo while i easy passed him smiling. What a Jerk. Later i found out it was a Rental Lambo and his Girlfriend was lifted to a hospital nearby. I never race. My Bandit is no Toy. It's a dangerous machine not to play with. I'm not stupid and risk my licence and/or my life. period.
I think I see why the cops have been harassing me lately. The "lane splitting" is ridiculous. I think the B12 guy fidgeting with his helmet and gears at stoplights is why the HD seems so fast. It is a fast Harley. I didn't think they could go much over 120 ish. The HD guy is cocked and loaded at the light. Probably, he doesn't have a visor or helmet... Shift the Bandit around 8-9 K. "Quick shift" the B12 so that it catches the next gear around 7K where theTorque starts tapering off and the HP is climbing. If you don't need 3rd, 4th, or 5th, don't use them when winding the bike out. My 2000 B12 has a stage 2 Dale Walker kit. GSXR 750 intake cam and a 4 into 2 into 1 pipe are the next upgrades if I want to keep going. I think it's fast enough. If I got beat fairly by a Harley at a redlight in a drag race I would just go home. That HD is probably modded to heck and back. I bet he doesn't use 87 octane.
May be Im deft, but I didn't hear no big difference between the original mufflers and this yoshinoya bull shit… you are paying for the brand almost $1000 for one muffler
True, but the stock muffler is even worst, sound like a vaccume cleaner.... it now revs freely and probably a few more horses. But you're right they just sell you a empty pipe for 1000$ , this one was used, for 300$
Got 1998 myself and just got three times in a wheelie by "accident" when letting the clutch slip to hard when shifting in second gear with relatively high rpm....but when I try to do it on purpose, it won't come up...am a bit nervous about flipping it too, by giving too much throttle :D
