My lifelong passion for the state of West Virginia, our people, our communities, and our history compels me to share the places, people, and events that make WV an integral component of the larger American History narrative. This channel's goal is to be a field trip-like discussion of WV's public spaces while using historical, political, and geographical context to paint a full picture of each place we visit. I will always tell the story of West Virginia from an inclusive and honest point of view.

More About Me: I am a WV History adjunct professor here in West Virginia, a veteran public school secondary educator with over 20 years of educational experience, and was named the WV History Teacher of the Year in 2021. I earned my Master's Degree in American History and Government in 2014 and was the WV James Madison Foundation Fellow for 2011. I am the President of the West Virginia Council for the Social Studies and serve as the Jackson County (WV) Social Studies Fair Coordinator.
