Most people don't know this but Dead Air isn't a silencer manufacturer, they are a design company. KGM does most of their OEM work so when they are having major QC issues they can't respond because they don't actually make any of the parts. If you look into the Sierra 5 debacle you'll know that Dead Air has had major issues with a bad batch coming out of KGM and won't make it right with a recall. I know people loved the brand but they haven't been the same in the last few years. I would stay away. There are much better silencer companies out there now with better and more efficient technologies.
8:00 I zoned out for a second and i heard JUST this. Lmao “you dont need the double throw, a little bit of force and a little bit of jiggle and the whole lid will pop right open”
My new lexus just got wrapped in XRPlus Xpel. At pickup there were so many bubbles and loose edges. Called and asked owner if this is normal and he said its still in curing period. After 3 weeks (the inspection) they gonna use heat gun to stick all the loose edges. I just want to know if these r the standard PPF process?
It really just depends on the panel. Some corners are pretty weird and will force the film to lift. At the end of the day, if the installer is willing to fix and still offer coverage on such a thing, then it doesn't really matter to me.
@@HaiTran thanks for the feedback. Its not just some corner but many mid sections film didnt stick. To drop $4k and the end result is so mediocre, its an eyesore to look at. I dun even know if this works is acceptable? The work done on your car looks impeccable. I wish I can say the same for mine. ☹️😥
There can be some bubbles in panels and they do typically dry put. At this point there’s really nothing to do but wait a bit and see if they do go away after some time. If they don’t, then that’s something to bring up with the installer.
Renting it wouldn’t make much sense just because of logistics and people can rent a U-Haul for $20. Not sure why anyone would rent someone else’s trailer. If anything I’d sell it.
I had an endcap strike on my wolverine PBS-1. It took 13 months, and 15 emails, for Dead Air to send me a replacement, and it was the wipe cap for a 9mm instead of the 7.62 cap I wanted. This is after they sent me a collar I didn't need. The best part was after the first 5 months when when I complained that the caps were available on their website, they told me they would look around the office for one to send me. That's ridiculous.
THANK YOU for sharing your experience!. Customer service and warranty is a BIG part of my choice when i choose what brand suppressor im going to try next. This is abysmal service.
...it seems like ALOT of suppressor companies only care about the sale of their cans, once you buy it, it's yours. They don't want to help you with anything.
I saw an older review showing the uprights for the part of the tack that you squat and bench on were aluminum. Im a 400 plus pound squatter and if they are still aluminum thats a hige problem. Did they upgrade them to 14 gauge steel? Outstanding review
Sounds like I need to get the adapters, lol. "Most tedious car to jack up" .....wuuuut? Oh man, this is a dream to jack up compared to most cars. Center OFFICIAL jack points in BOTH the front and the rear? Extremely uncommon. So many cars you're left putting jack stands on the pinch welds, and they'll bend a little 7 times out of 10.
My best advice get a carnuba wsh and wax car soap and carnuba wax like meguiars deep crystal shine wax that stuff really makes the cars look great as well as offers great protection from bugs gut damage on vehicle that much I can say from sure
Black or dark color vehicles look so pretty when there clean and waxed on regular basis only thing is you has to wash them 2 - 3 times Ore often especailly if they remain parked outside all the time
You didn't show when you put the rewinder knob back down. I'm having trouble with mine. It seems when I put my rewind knob back down after loading my film, my film advance lever loses tension. I hear the roll unreeling itself somehow... is that normal?
There’s no way for me to tell without doing it, but if there isn’t tension and you think the roll didn’t catch on the spindle then you probably did something wrong. There’s no way to tell without opening it up and looking. I’d suggest having a scrap roll of film that you can use to test cameras and practice.
@@HaiTran that's what I'm confused about. If you already owned and shot on that can, why would you have to wait again when you would have already had to go through the process in order to shoot it in the first place? Feels like I'm missing something. Did it have to go back to an FFL before you could get it again? But even that wouldn't make sense since it was shipped to your house.
You’re confused about the timeline of the events. The suppressor showed damage the day I purchased it. While it was awaiting NFA approval, I contacted Dead Air for a warranty claim.
I hear that. I was thinking about to share cost w/ my friend but still don’t do enough. But it is nice. Although I do like the tank system or minimal solution but if rotating, what’s a good cheap option to rotate them on if just for b&w sheets & paper?
I think part of the problem for the heat issue is you bought too big, the 29 inches too big you have to fill it with too much wood, I bought the 17 inch and then returned it because it was too small and I just purchased the 21 inch but I haven't tried it yet
No matter what size you buy, the fire pit won’t put out a lot of warming lateral heat. This is a known thing about smokeless fire pits. They channel all the heat upwards. That’s why manufactures make heat deflector accessories as mentioned in the video.
I think u just nailed this company shut. Im in the market for a suppressor/s... and will not touch this brand. Thank You. No excuse for such crap service !
Nearly every rock/mud guard I've purchased in my life cones with sub par hardware. For a few dollars I swapped the rear silver screws for 50mm long, 8mm hex head black screws. Made everything so much easier.
I keep a S/A Hellcat w/Optic and an Sig P938 with an extra mag for each. It's a little tight but functional and I can retrieve either firearm easily. I wish it was a little more discreet as to its purpose with maybe a radio faceplate or fake controls over the battery cover and not plastering the Hornaday brand on the front. I think I'm going to 3d print a different cover.
5:07 This happened to me with Bergara. I had a B-14 HMR in 308 that didn't shoot worth a damn. I sent it to them and they decided to randomly send it back to me without even telling me it was on the way. I was away on vacation and had to pay the courier to hold it. If I didn't have someone watching the family cat I wouldn't even have known they tried to deliver it and it would have been returned to sender. Of course, they didn't actually fix the issue and I took it to a local gunsmith who contacted his Bergara rep and sent it back to them a 2nd time. This time they didn't fix the problem and sent the rifle back with rust all over the bolt and inside the barrel. I took photos of the bolt, and borescope video of the rifle as soon as I received it and asked Bergara for a refund because they damaged my rifle but they told me they didn't cause the rust (even though they were the last ones to have it in their possession and they definitely would have noted the gun was rusted on their report if it had been). They accused me of causing the rust or lying about its existence and also of shooting handloads and refused to give me a refund. I sold that piece of junk and bought a Tikka CTR that has shot lights out and never had a single issue. Anyway, Bergara sucks. I understand that sometimes people get lemons. It's happened to me before and it probably will again but their CS was the worst I've ever dealt with in the firearms space.
Thank you!!!! So many how to develop videos skip this step and go right into the dark bag, which I understand because they don't want to ruin their film, but I haven't been able to figure out this step!! Thanks again
And just like that, I’m not buying from them. Right when I was going to purchase their product. What a shame. Thank you for this honest review of their customer service.
I got this lens and was working decent for the first few months. Then started having auto focus issues. Tried other lens on my Sony A7 III and they worked fine. Tried this lens on brand new A7 IV and it did the same thing. Anyone have solutions?
