Easy with the right breed 😂 my two year old not-so-mini Aussie still jumps up and bites my butt when we walk alone without my chiweenie. Admittedly I'm not good at training them to do some things. Oddly enough they both knows lots of commands but walking properly and behaving in public aren't things I'm able to teach 🤷‍♀️

You can do it! Especially with an aussie and energy. Just motivate and inspire to work with you and ignore surrounding. My online course will teach yiu everything. Use code youtube20 for extra savings. Link in bio

Got lucky with my Cane Corso. Got her at 20 months old and trained her to be a service dog for depression and anxiety. She ignores everything around her but me in public. Even other professionally trained guide dogs are more reactive to her than she is them. Your dog looks like a 6 to 9 months old Cane Corso?

Can you comment on the harness? The trainer I follow doesn't recommend them.
@Trauma_Rc
@Trauma_Rc 26 дней назад
A harness is good in my opinion but I never have my leash hooked up to it I just use it to put his name and do not pet and to have the handle when training the bark commands my dog has a harness a collar a e collor and a prong coller all have there place but 99% of the time the lead is hooked up the the prong collar
@ricgray9986
@ricgray9986 26 дней назад
@Trauma_Rc My Cane Corso started with a prone collar and now standard flat collar with paracord for a leash. Miss placed her normal leash one day and now all I use, even when I go back to her prone collar.
@Trauma_Rc
@Trauma_Rc 26 дней назад
@@ricgray9986 I’d just stick with the prong collar nothing wrong with useing it all the time just keeps your dog sharp on there training

Greatrecignition. I've read a lot and trained with alot and d9 everything never learned over 12 years to help any dog succeed with the most clear communication and reward possible. Good eye for the movement but I wouldn't use that book or recommend it as it teaches a pretty rough method of punishment

Some dogs do really have a thing for wheels! I have 1 dog that isn't bothered 1 bit even if it's within 4 feet. The other 1 sees them 100 feet away & for some reason, she thinks it's going to attack her. I pay attention like crazy when walking on sidewalks etc. Yet a motorcycle doesn't bother either one.

I thought positive trainers don’t use e-collars or prongs? Is it based on what the client wants at that point? I see you say you’re positive online coach and just wanted to clarify 😊
@purecaninetraining
@purecaninetraining Месяц назад
Great question. Almost all my training is positive, even the conflicts and corrective repetitions I do is for the positive experience with the dog in society. It can depend if the owner is already using it. Or if the owners just doesn't have a chance or time to succeed with positive only training. Positive 9nly training isn't easy. Takes time, patience and consistency that many dont have. So I do what's best for the dog to ensure safety and prevention and a long happy life. With prongs o always say use ot to loose it and overusing is abusing. Don't rely on it. Do the positive training and succeed but have it incase especially when dealing with str9ng dogs I promote as much positive training as possible but I encourage doing what your dog needs to succeed and live happy stress free.

Don’t know why people hate on prong collars. I only hate on them when too big, placed incorrectly, or misused. And anything can be misused. I’ve begun using this analogy- a scalpel in the wrong hands can be lethal. In the right hands, wielded skilfully, can heal or even save a life. I’m 5’2” and have a large rescue dog (GSD /bully/ boxer mix) who came to me with about zero training. I started on a flat collar, tried a slip lead, then a halti. He now has a prong - I really hesitated to use it because of people giving me side eye, but it’s become the kindest and most effective communication tool. Never mind the haters. Inconsistent direction, poor leash/handling skills (hence poor communication skills), talking the entire time, out of control dogs on harnesses and flexis - I take issue with those too. I’ve had and trained dogs over 50 years and I have seen an exponential rise in reactivity and insecure aggression. Coincidence? I think not.
