Golden eagles can pick up goats, so of course they can pick up kids. It’s hilarious to see, as a lucky kid gets a free ride in the sky to become eagle boy! Soar high eagle boy.
Good attempt at a fake. ever seen what a hawk does to it's meals? And they are not as big as eagles. I'm not an expert on birds, but I would have assumed the initial contact would have been a harder hit. The eagle would be trying to end it's prey in fell swoop there. The fact that the child is uninjured at all is a huge tell for me.
A real “could have” situation here but yeah if the baby was lighter he would have been swooped and dropped from a much higher height. I’m really glad he was just heavy enough and wearing all that winter gear to protect from the talons.
