LIVE IN STUDIO is an ongoing music series centering on New York based indie music artists and bands. The goal is to create a live performance environment while retaining a studio like sound mix. One take with a multi-cam and multi-track set up, preserving the raw performance of the artist or band.
jimmy's last drink is one of my favourite songs, the version from "the real will wood" being my personal favourite. but this version, absolutely beautifully chilling
Great stuff. Thanks for lending the studio to these guys and for the excellent cinematography. Very high production value. The more of these phone recorded, just some guy walking around, live performances of Will Wood that you catch, the more you appreciate an actual camera angle let alone several
Thanks so much for the kind words. We really appreciate it. We always pride ourselves on creating the highest quality. And to think this was 7 years ago. Appreciate the love.
It made me so sad when i went onto tla spotify to check their music out and they only had 14 monthly listeners :< the band is really good and i hope one day they get the recognition they deserve :)
Yes, we would have loved to continue this series, but it was hard getting a lot of bands to want to shoot. We do sessions every now and then, but maybe we can pick this back up again one day.
I watched a WillWood Video on this channel and figured I check out the other content. It's a strange feeling, as this channel hasn't uploaded any content in 5 Years at the time of writing, and is unlikely to upload more. All of these bands, captured on a video, that will exist floating through cyberspace on this channel and most likely never gain any traction. It's like a perfect time capsule of a time that once was. This comment too, will soon become outdated and in the past, especially to YOU, the one reading it. Time only moves one way, and Videos like this are the only way to preserve moments like this.
Yeah i mean, only 2 are different here. The drums and the sax. Other than that the bass, guitar, and piano never changed. Its such a big change once you hear it tho
Because this is the Demo recording, he may have still been working on the lyrics and juts needed something to fill the gap. Although, I don't know that for sure, just my personal theory!
That's honestly why I love Will Wood. EIAL being about my fear of place in life, Selfish being about who I am on this Earth, TNA projecting my questions about my own personality and health, and ICIMI allowing me to recognize my fear of not being enough for someone else.
