Have you noticed that when you're in Manual Mode and save at least OD/DS from any patch, the saved patch automatically activates the CTL? Then, when you turn off the CTL, the MOD, EQ/FX2, and DELAY effects are switched on?

On my old crappy Zoom multi effects pedal, I can use the expression pedal to add or remove the delay for instance, can this pedal do that? Like I'm chugging along and now it's time to rip a solo so I fade in the delay smoothly instead of switching from stompy 1 over to stompy 2 which sometimes can be jarring.
#1 Great guitar Neck/body. #2 Update the pickups. #3 It is a china guitar so spend another hundred to get it set up right. #4 Guitar Fetish has pre wired pickguards that can help.
I’m just getting into playing a guitar for the first time, I found a guy on Facebook selling this guitar for 400 but agreed on $250. Is this a good price and a good guitar to learn on?
@@madisonboyd7992 That’s an excellent price if the guitar is in great condition. The guitar goes for $499 brand new. Definitely a great guitar to learn on.
@@RickordProductions I’ve also been looking at the Jackson x series dinky and love the look as well and sound. How do you compare these two and which would you recommend?
@@madisonboyd7992 I’ve had a Jackson X series soloist before. Great guitar but different than the Ibanez Jem Jr. Different sounding pickups. Different tones. No two guitars are gonna sound the same because of the material it’s made from, the tone from your fingers when you play it and the personality you give it that makes it your own.
@@madisonboyd7992 Don’t get too caught up in thinking a particular guitar should be more suitable for a certain style of music. Either guitar is great for hard rock/ metal. It depends on the personality you put into it and how you play it. You can check out my other videos playing Metallica with the Jem Jr or playing Lady Gaga with a Jackson.
Yup. I just found you. I know this is an older video. I'm even older. I started in the late 70s playing and playing out in the 80s. I just play for fun now, but do go to jams and places where you can get up and play with the band, etc. I'm trying to find a solution and did a search on ampless pedal boards and you came up. I totally agree man, the audience wants to hear music and they don't care if you play thru a straw if it sounds correct. 😂 Be well brother. Regards from South Central Indiana. USA.. ❤ Tim..

@@John-vk4gs Thanks man. It’s just a standard linear chain. Guitar to tuner to drop pedal to gain pedals to time based and modulation to amp and then amp to PA.
Thanks dude. Ive been seeing these Joyo pedals around. I finally bought an Atmosphere and an Aquarious. Waiting for delivery from Amazon. Saved about 20% on them. Not gonna lie, I like the lights. But the sound was amazing. Usually get BOSS but I wanted to see more about this Overdrive. Thanks again😁
I just bought a jem jr. used in white. it's fine but what's with the super high nut? I own gibson, kramer,jackson, other Ibanez, bc rich, fender, prs and others. none are that high at the nut. can I just buy a lower nut I mean so the strings will be lower at the first frets. I like low action and this would help the overall action. it's like 3 times to high. I will have to file down the groove were the strings sit or file down the wood under the metal nut but I dont like that because it wood mean it's stronger and I would take a lot off. all other guitar I have are 3 times lower, I would expect this on a Walmart guitar or something. I very suprised by this on a Ibanez. realy sucks. sorry for the bad spelling I am french. If I can get a lower one please give me the link for the righ one... anyone thanks.
@@christineblack4654 You can adjust the height of the bridge and adjust the truss rod to lower the action on the guitar. That’s what I did with mine and the action is perfect now.
@@RickordProductions I know but that's done. it's the freaken nut that is making the first frets high. no ajustment can fix that. it's only the nut now. I have never seen a metal not making the string so high. lol and on an Ibanez?
On my Marshall amps I use a guitar EQ pedal, pretty much set flat but with a slight bump in volume output. Its amazing how much this boost effects the sound of the amp. I sat this amp on top of my Marshall DSL40CR combo and plug it into the DSL40CRs speaker and ran it through the DSL cab, I was doing a comparison, I was shocked and surprised just how good the MG HDFX 100 sounded!
Thanks for the demo! I was more concerned with if all the pedals in the loop are active regardless of the sy1's on/off status and this answered the question! Mine comes on Saturday, very excited to integrate it in my rig
@@joehazen7996 Hey man no problem! Yeah whether the synth pedal is engaged or disengaged, any pedals that are connected to the effects loop will function as long as the synth pedal is connected to a power source whether it’s by battery or a 9V DC adapter.
Sorry if I'm slow... So plugging into the send/return gives you both the guitar and synth tone simultaneously? But plugging in directly into the input is the synth signal only? (Great video btw!)
@@germanxmascookie Plugging directly to the input and then following with gain pedals will distort the synth tone, meaning you’ll hear the synth effect but it’ll be compromised by your distortion pedals. However running gain pedals through the send and return will allow the distortion and the synth tone to run parallel so you can hear both sounds clearly.
Great tip! One thing I really appreciated in your video is that you use the pedal and one can see it. Most of the other videos are guys making demonstrations while trying it out, saying "cool" a lot but basically just doing on a video what I'm doing home, wich is just experimenting with the pedal. I've got it for a while now and was looking for a more advanced video on it, of real usage in context. Your video, your tip, made all the difference. So far I had neglected the send/return circuit, but it makes a big difference.
Yo! I know this is an old video but I REALLY APPRECIATE THIS! I have almost the exact same Jackson model and just purchased the exact same Seymor Duncans you upgraded yours with. This and the SH-2N comparison video are giving me a lot to look forward to. Amazing that you happened to have the same Jackson and purchased the same two pickups. Fate! Thanks for the videos. @@MikePatKen Hey thanks man! Yeah those neck and bridge Duncans really made the guitar sound better. Unfortunately I don’t have that Jackson anymore but I am planning to upgrade my Charvel with those same pickups. Keep playing! 🤘🏼
It depends on your budget. The RG 550 price closer to the 1K range and the Jem Jr goes for $500. The 550 is legendary though. It set the standard for the RG line after the original Jem was released. To me you can't go wrong with either one. As I said before it all depends on what you're willing to spend on an Ibanez RG model.
@@Mrjleyba Same as what you see in the video. You just plug the aux cable into the input of the Fender Mustang. Just make sure all the mods are turned off and the channel on clean. The best would be to plug it into the effects loop if the amp has one.
@@tommywattmusic Boss has the ME-70 or ME-50 but not as many features. If you want to go really small with a Boss platform there’s the G1 which has good tones but not as versatile in terms of features.
I wish they would've made the boost on the 5150 an actual switch. That little button is a killer for me. It's like the Xotic SL. Love the pedal, hate the inconvenience of the switches.
I bought that head for a good deal at a pawn shop years ago. For years i ran my Zoom 606 thru the front until a buddy taught me how to run my Zoom thru the loop. I prefer the loop. Setting A1 on my Zoom 606 has been my goto distortion sound for 20 years. My zoom 606 ombined with the MGHDFX and my Les Pauls and Explorers, i get the tone i want. I feel no need to upgrade.
