theres a clip in the episode when Leo's divorce papers arrive an margret i worried he might start drinking, he looks at her and says "you're a good girl" would have been the perfect way to the end this compilation, just sayin.
When "The West Wing" was on, it was during one of the best times of my life. I'm an old man now, and watching these clips makes me weep..remembering those moments from my past.
A few years ago one of the doctors I worked with told me he was tired of signing orders all day long, and I told him very causally that I could sign his signature perfectly. What followed was basically a similar play by play of the Margaret signing the Presidents name conversation. I remember watching this show for the first time not long after and realizing why I heavily identified with her from the first time I saw her on screen lol
On the white rat issue: The show presents it as a joke, but the principle is actually quite important with regards to experimental design. You should always consider if your method might be introducing effects that you're not accounting for.
I liked how the writers had CJ tell Margret she was important to the office of the chief staff and asked her to stay. Margret was loyal to Leo but underneath it she was loyal to the President and the Cheif of staff
Totally loved Margaret. She was funny, loyal and seemed to be very efficient. My fave scene was when she reminded Leo that he wasn’t supposed to do schedule any of his appointments on his own (hope I got that right) and she left the office saying she would give him a copy of that rule.
3:55 They didn't. They didn't rule it out. Turns out lab mice have something like a long t cell. Which effectively makes white lab mice less effective as analog for medicine testing.
My favourite Margaret moments was her worrying she’s going to get blamed for bringing down the email server, and her offering to hide the valuables from Ainsley.
Love the episodes with the political consultant, Bruno, and he can never remember her name; calls her Redheaded Girl until he finally gives her a gold pendant with her name MARGARET, saying “ somebody said to give this to you”. Their dynamic was so sweet.
Lord Marlborough wound Margret up by never remembering her name. Up to and including when he dropped off a gift at her desk of a necklace with her name on it.
"Your assistant is looking positively buxom"?!? There's something you can rarely get away with saying around the office anymore. If there were an office anymore.
My reply to the comment, or anyone who would say it, the comment that ended at 33 seconds is "But the next time those trained armed guards showed up to work, they still brought their guns."
