British Gas, British Telecom, British Steel, British Airways, British Rail, British Petroleum (BP), British Aerospace, British Leyland and many more - all once state owned assets until sold off to the private sector by Thatcher and Major. Now we own nothing as a nation.
I have literally been Beattie in this ad, phoning clothes shops and trying to track down the right item in the right colour/style/size. Richard Wilson is so good in this too!
Ngl, if someone made animation this smooth today, it would be on some sort of kawaii anime cutout channel. This looks about in parvwith Seasin 10 FOP in terms of animation that looks 60fps
Not many people have fire places now, shame really, coming in from work with a nice fire sitting in your arm chair wife cooking dinner, children sat playing games, the days that have lomg gone never to return
How I *wish* someone would produce something as comfortable, simple, gentle yet charming as this. *Won't happen now though.* A bygone era. Netflix's "Go, Dog, Go!", although opposite in tone, comes close though. That *really* is excellent. PS: The outro music for "Camberwick Green" here is just *masterclass!*
Since Radio 1 was celebrating their sweet 16 in 1981, they thought it would be a good idea to pay tribute to jingle packages of years past - including the elusive 1969 Audio Producers jingle package that was recently found.

@@paulowen9271 Thanks Paul. I should have known that!!! Yes the pips were played over the last jingle. Was the last jingle on the end of the montage or on a cart in the cart machine? I watched Adrian's video, and it looks like the left cart was running, and his DJ cart was in the middle cart player?
@@Snapdragon4472 Yes I agree the last jingle was on a cart. It makes sense they’d do it that way in case the timings were slightly off, they could just fade out the montage.

Fun fact; Adrienne Posta who is playing Beattie's daughter-in-law here is only 4 years younger than Maureen Lipman. They co-starred in Up The Junction (1968) where they played characters who were roughly the same age.
"Go on then, I'll take one for the team" words those in this coming rôle must have spat out time and again over all qges: Yertiz; Where's Roger the Cabin boy when you need to get yourself out of a hole? In a vessel such as a Man of War crammed to the Gunwales with Seamen. [Can I stop now please cos I'm drowning in a cesspit of smutty innuendo: every drop of my own making‽ Ahh those were the days. Oy Stop it, stop right there! Ed.]
i sure hope they don't develop a neurological disease originating from cows that swiftly and exponentially takes away their memories and their ability to move and cause an excrutiating last 4 months of subject's life as symptoms appear that would be depressing
