I’ve got the same model, followed your strip down and rebuild, starts runs for a few seconds then cuts out any ideas why??.any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you 12:25
Mine comes with a 16" Light 04 and I then buy the 18" Light 04, in regard to the machine no problem at all. I never try the 20" bar, but with 20" battery run time I believe is going to be short. 14" bar I think is going to be kind short and with feel unbalanced.
Exactly! What we came here to see is done off camera. Ugh. On my Stihl FS-KM string trimmer gear head, I got the bottom bearing/gear out, but the two bearings and gear on the top, that the shaft fits into are stuck and need to be replaced.
I have the MSA300 for about 1 year, yes is a joy powerful machine pleasure to work with however is like a Mustang GT with gas tank in the reserve the AP500S batteries and I have 4 of those but they not up to the machine. Cutting oak with 18" bar and using about 90% of the bar about 12 cuts and the AP500S is out of charge, also on the top of that the AP500S is hot and then takes 15 minutes for the AL500 charger just to cool of the battery so it can start charging back again. A professional out in the woods sure need a truck load of batteries for a day work. I have the MSA300, 220C, GTA26, 161T and the Trimmer 135, batteries I have AP200, AP300, AP300S, AP500S and the little and only one available for the GTA26. The machines they all performed great I have absolutely no complaints. The Batteries for professional use still light years away.
