Thanks for sharing! All of us should have learned many different skills, but maybe quit for such long time and unfortunately forget how to do… but if you learned once and discovered another passion, you will master it in another way. I think you will play your favorite songs on piano or keyboard!
I also dreamed this piano could be mine and hoped it was not getting untuned while I was playing. Sorry for not well controlled tune and thanks for feedback, but I don’t think that it’s polite to use imperative without suitable manner - especially we don’t even know each other.
@@yutouu You are absolutely right. There is a lot of rude, wannabe pianists on the Tube. A piano slightly out of tune is actually charming...a bit of nostalgic sound.Well done, my friend.
@@kevinm6790thank you for the formulation😅 but actually nobody have to listen anything from me and judge it. If someone doesn’t like it, just ignore it!
@@thepianocornertpcthank you to let me feel better. Of course it also bothered me as a professional musician, but what can I do while playing? And before start playing the piano was even perfectly tuned! Everything could be happen while performing 😮💨
Thank you so much! One of the most important things to me it’s define every piece in correct style and different character… glad to know it’s noticeable to my audience ❤
Gorgeous playing, I’ve been listening to this composer a lot recently, I love this set in particular incredible work learning the whole thing 🔥, I’ve been thinking of learning the 8th piece in this set it is so breathtaking
Süß in Düften mich verhauchen? In dem wogenden Schwall, in dem tönenden Schall, in des Welt-Atems wehendem All ertrinken, versinken, unbewusst, höchste Lust!
Tremendous performance! What an achievement, this is the best I've heard these works played. The perfect sound and piano for it too! so deep and rich! This performance deserves a lot more views.
Thank you for extremely kind compliments! I feel so honored. In fact I didn’t know Bortkiewicz before the Ukrainian War… but afterwards I not only know his name and music but also his life - especially connection with Vienna. For a based-in-Vienna-pianist I totally have empathy to feel him - his music and life - Bortkiewicz, Bösendorfer-Instrument and me are sharing our „Viennese“ specialities together! Maybe it’s the reason that we really made some unique effects together? I don’t know but I definitely will play more Bortkiewicz.
@@yutouu I discovered Bortkiewicz through the recording of his first Piano Concerto as part of the "Romantic Piano Concerto" series on Hyperion Records. Then an online friend Koji Attwood began playing his pieces - there are some videos of his performances on RU-vid! I especially love his performance of the Ballade. Cyprien Katsaris also did a great CD of Bortkiewicz music - that's a treasure for me too. Yes his music is overwhelmingly "Romantic" - very unpretentious and incredibly emotionally direct - it's really special! There are of course echoes of other composers in his work but the more I became acquainted with his music the more I realized that it has a lot that is unique. To me - his music is the most "sentimental" a composer can get whilst being completely sincere and pure of heart.
@@Mofos_of_Metalagree, it never bothers me that he shows diverse influences from other musicians... the emotion is still unique. I also love his ballade and actually I planed to play a serie of ballads for my recitals this year, but at the end i decided not to play for this round, because i'd like to play his elegy with ballade, and this "set" actually shows another things from me. During studying these pieces I also listen and compare the recording of Katsaris very often, unfortunately he didn't record all of them - but fortunately some of my favorite (no.7&8) he also played them. Great musician! I'm really glad that Bortkiewicz is becoming more and more fans...
@@yutouu That passion for his music shows in your playing! I found this video while looking around at Bortkiewicz videos on RU-vid, so I hope some others may find it that way too. I subscribed and will listen to more of your performances - I particularly enjoy pianists who are more adventurous with their repertoire choices! Viktor Kosenko is another one of my favourite Ukrainian composers - his piano works are great too. There are many underrated composers, thanks for helping promote Bortkiewicz, I am also glad that he is gaining fans!
