I agreed with you that Luger is the grand daddy and OG of all the steakhouses including whole bunch of pretenders
@PaulEatsOut
@PaulEatsOut 9 дней назад
You are absolutely right that they are the OG. People that worked at Luger left and went on to start other steakhouses influenced by Luger include Wolfgangs, Ben & Jack's Steakhouse and Benjamin Steakhouse. They are all good but they came from the OG. Thanks

Thanks, I grew up in NYC eating dim sum frequently. You would think I would get tired of it but I am not. Shows that good food remains good food

Close to $30 a sandwich is definitely expensive however if its the GOAT pastrami sandwich then its well worth it. Why not have a GOAT in your life when you can?!
@PaulEatsOut
@PaulEatsOut 9 дней назад
I agree. You can have two ordinary sandwiches for $15 each or one GOAT at $30 so GOAT wins.

@PaulEatsOut
@PaulEatsOut 10 дней назад
Good observation, but I can eat dried shrimp but not fresh shrimp. It has something to do with the red iodine that is in shrimp . I had mentioned that in a prior video . It sucks because as a kid I was able to eat fresh shrimp but it changed . Thanks

Had one long time ago…. Yeah its a long line but its best to time your visit / takeout say two hours before lunch (or basically justgo there on dead hours) the line will be shorter. The wait is worth it.

For those who haven't tried The Halal Guys, you've pretty much summed it up for anyone considering it. It ain't exactly worth the long wait.

You're about 8 years late on this one. Halal Guys hasn't been good for a long while. Adel's is the new reigning champ, you were literally two blocks away from it. No one eats Halal Express

Good review, Paul..new subscriber. I frequent the Borgata regularly and imo it’s the best hotel casino resort in Atlantic City. Last weekend I took a stroll on the AC boardwalk between Caesar’s and Ocean Resort..I was not impressed. My Uber driver communicated to me do not walk south of Caesar’s or you will be approached and harassed.
@PaulEatsOut
@PaulEatsOut 27 дней назад
Hi, When I go I always walk from Hard Rock all the way down to Tropicana on the Boardwalk. It is good exercise especially to burn off some buffet calories. If you go beyond Caesars, it's still okay. There are definitely some people that will approach you for money but just say no and they move on quickly. I think all the locals know that there are police cameras on the overhead lamps that line the Boardwalk so it is relatively safe during the daytime and even into the night. Definitely do not go off the Boardwalk. Also the beach is making a little comeback as Hard Rock sectioned off an area in front of their hotel where they rent out umbrellas and chairs. You don't have to use theirs as you can bring your own. So that section of the beach definitely feels safer since it is monitored by workers. I like AC and wish they can become more of an attractive tourist destination but that will be tough because the area around it remains challenging. So we enjoy what we can. Thanks for writing in and subscribing.

Was the tongue sandwich from the tip or the back? Very different taste depending on where you ask it to be cut from. Back is better, trust me
@PaulEatsOut
@PaulEatsOut 29 дней назад
Hi I don't know if it is from the tip or back. I choose the center cut which I heard is more flavorful then choosing lean. So don't know. Thanks for providing this guidance.

Thanks for the kind words. Langer's Deli in Los Angeles is supposed to have the best pastrami sandwich in the USA. I have never eaten there but the next time I am in LA, I will try to because if they are better than Katz, that is something special. Thanks again.

@@PaulEatsOut Thanks Paul ! I appreciate your quick response ! I am from CA, however the central coast. Therefore Langers is still a flight away and I'd rather fly and stay to NYC !!! 🙂 I subscribe to Bill and Lisa's Travel and Food channel, who live in the greater LA area and have been to Langer's a few times - they swear by them. Here's one of several they have on Langer's, the most recent: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dhw9dgMTbEI.html . Cheers to you !!! Marcia

Hi thanks for writing in and subscribing. I have generally heard great things about tongue sandwiches so I was a bit disappointed in what I tasted there. But maybe I need to try it at other places. So will do some research to see if there are places in NYC that are known for their tongue sandwiches.
