What had the Supreme Court advised US citizens to NOT do? That would be not to talk to police! They are not your friends. They are there to hem you up and put you in a cage. I assume this Arizona car was on I10 and in TEXAS. He was not in another country Or on the border of another country. Where did Border Patrol come from? Who knows? Where did Homeland Security come from?. Don't know.. They are not as far as I know sworn police officers.. They can not give you a citation for speeding or anything else. They have to call in neighboring law enforcement just as they have done here. CBP or customs and border protection has to do with immigrants and immigration.. ICE is immigration and customs enforcement and they have to do with Immigration and immigrants. The vehicle was registered to Arizona and had Arizona plates on it because the police officer ran the plate. He was forced to stop at the check point and a stop strip was put in front of his tires so he could not move foreward. This is a detainment isn't it? He was not free to go. My question is does this American have to answer their questions? Are you a US citizen? Note he was never asked that by CBP. Why are the checkpoints there?. Because Homeland Security rents that part of the highway from Texas! Are these checkpoints legal? I have no idea? My comments are just food for thought...
THE BORDER CHECKS ARE ESSENTIALLY MUTE. MILLIONS CROSSING BORDER WITHOUT PAPERS , YET IF YOU VISIT MEXICO AND COME BACK YOU HAVE TO PROVE YOUR A CITIZEN. JOKER CITY . LOL LOL
No borders in the area. We're 70 miles north of Mexico. Imagine Federal Agents stationed with K9s at the end of your driveway asking the same questions every day as you leave the house. U.S. Border Patrol has conducted these Interior Checkpoints since the 1940s and the U.S. Supreme Court allows these warrantless stops on 2/3 of the U.S. Population inland with no suspicion of a crime.
It's your right as a citizen plus just making sure BP does there job . But why be hassle? I would maybe do it but I use the Constitution and the Bill of Rights for other stuff
Hmm confused Brit here. I thought you all wanted increased checks at the border etc.? I understand about the request for ID can be seen as infringing you Constitutional rights but are these checkpoints not effective at catching illegals? If they are then not sure why proving your ID should be so contentious as it is being done for a valid reason. I understand about creeping overreach so do understand your defence of your rights not to be ID’d for no valid reason. But as I said if these checkpoints work and catch non-documented folk isn’t that a good reason to cooperate? Of course if these checkpoints are utterly useless then you are bang on right to refuse. Not trying to be critical, just confused and seeking more clarity. Rule number one for me is always defend your rights.

Get a life and stop giving these border agents a hard time. Don't you think they are going through enough crap as it is with the border crisis god knowing who's coming into the country. You don't realize that your video and other youtubers who post videos like this is going to show the drug cartels, and other dangerous terrorist groups from around the world such as the taliban, isis, al qaeda, gangs from latin america, terrorist groups from africa, chinese spies, russian spies, and even north korean spies their going to watch videos like this and they are going to know that's the way to ignore U.S. border patrol and they will bring the most dangerous drugs and the most dangerous criminals from their countries into the United States of America.
You would think that these Nazis would know who he is by now! Doesn't he make a living sueing border patrol? If you lie and say you are a citizen when you are not, do they just let you go? How do they know who is a citzen or not? They are allowed to detain you, BRIEFLY! This straight-up HARRASMENT!
