All those seasonings would make a rock taste good. My Mom always said we were so poor we were having rock soup for dinner. If she did it this way. I'd say ok, let's eat. I was literally scared of having to eat rock soup. I started saving my chicken bones in my dresser under my clothes. Mom couldn't figure out why I had those bones in my drawer under my clothes. I told her no rock soup for me. I'm using my chicken bones. Lol 😅
I love Maque Choux; it's one of my favorite Cajun dishes that many people just don't know about. I've started freezing and saving up corn cobs to make into corn stock for the recipe. It's the kind of thing I did one time as an experiment, then was shocked at how good it turned out. Now it's just how I make some things that gotta be corny.
