Evie Harris and Trixie Mattel in the same scene together?!? I can die now. If you haven't seen Girls Will Be Girls, why the hell not? Jack P!otnick is. brilliant!
Queerty's comments are just the editors having a circle-jerk. All of them, including the right-leaning posters. It's all a show. Don't Look at that man behind the curtain....
It's too bad Queerty editors are not authentic like the person within this post. Go ahead, Q, censor and block. At least those are 2 skills you only have, harping viragos.
Queerty, your brand is rusty & dented like Musk's cybertrucks. You're no longer relevant and your editors are old bitter queens who have no friends, but need some. Your queer news is gossip and innuendo.
Queer/Gay is still somehow in the closet. Not impressed that we are still hesitant, reticent about same sex relationships. Only independent films have the guts to be a bit more open about same sex desire/love.
thing is these actors aren't queer. it's easy to kiss on camera but they don't have the answers a queer person would have about representation. to them it's abstract love... but luca definitely can show the crave for authenticity. you can even see this film as only reaching happiness when u give yourself permission to love and how pat and art were each others true all encompassing loves.
@@OmfgHiii only Zendaya is publicly confirmed as heterosexual. The 2 guys aren’t & are obviously committed to not disclosing their orientation. They’ve each had a relationship with a female in their 20s but that’s not conclusive.
who are you to be saying this? She's an icon in so many different ways, she's super smart, talented, hardworking, beautiful, and respectful. Meanwhile I don't even know your name. Before putting her down first get on her level
You mean the movie? Then you need to watch it again, it's about how the two dudes desire each other while also competing for Zendaya's character. That's the point
Every interview I see makes me fall more in love with Josh O'Connor. Incredible explanation of his role, he truly understood the assignment of making his character a bisexual agent of chaos and obsessive brat and in turn, helped me better understand him!
What queer themes does the movie “challengers”have? Seems like we’re stretching it a bit when you just have two dudes straight dudes kissing for Zendaya.
Did you watch the movie? You could constantly cut their tension with a knife completely outside of the role zendaya’s character played in their relationship/bromance. The sauna scene? Hello?
They made it very clear that Patrick was yes mostly hooking up with women but also very much hooking up with men too. The brief scene where he’s swiping on tinder says it all.
This could have been a fantastic opportunity for Ncuti gatwa portraying the doctor. Hes a fantastic actor with so much potential. With Russell T.Davies as show runner the writing is pulling itself apart, just like it did with Jodie Whittaker taking the mantle of the doctor being a massive failure, it's all in the writing. People tune in to sci-fi to escape reality, not to have "the message" as it's being dubbed shoved down our throats. We don't care that the doctor is gay, we also don't care that the doctor is being portrayed by a man of colour. what is cared about is it being forced fed as the main focal point of the show to us that this new iteration of the doctor is super gay and now a person of colour, as well as side characters like the maestro with the whole "they/them" thing being a massive focal point. It's boring in real life, and it's even more boring in our television and games. We come to doctor who for entertainment, not socially political propaganda. The main focus of this show is a continuation of a story being told to us for over 60 years, respecting the history and fans that have provided you with views for literal generations. Please stop pandering to the 5% of people that may not even watch the show, and focus on what's drawn those good long time fans in. I don't want to see this show die again like it did in the 90's
"the main focal point of the show to us that this new iteration of the doctor is super gay and now a person of colour" Apart from a couple of aside remarks, the Fifteenth Doctor's orientation and color haven't even been mentioned in the show, much less made the "main focal point." "We come to doctor who for entertainment, not socially political propaganda." It's not up to the show to indulge your particular preconceptions of what the show ought to be. Doctor Who, like most sci-fi, has always been political since its inception and always progressive. And engaging in open, thoughtful, accurate representation of non-white, non-heterosexual people is not pandering. As for some nebulous "message" being "shoved down our throats," have you ever stopped to think about how much LGBT+ people get heterosexuality and how much people of color get whiteness foisted upon them since day one without hardly any alternative? Finally we are letting LGBT+ and BIPOC people speak for themselves and tell their own stories, and our universe gets more interesting because of it.
Why do all these comments use so many words just to say "i don't like The Message" without naming a single specific example? it's so funny how obvious y'all make the fact that you haven't watched the show
YOU ARE MOST DEFFINATELY SHOVING IT DOWN PEOPLE'S FACES. "We're gay and we want everyone to know, cos we're really insecure about it", thats what comes over. RTD has indeed worked really hard to put people off and it's working. And there you are, "We cast Ncuti to put him in everyone's homes". It's a family show kids are watching, some parents may want to talk to their kids about these issues in their own time, not on primetime tv. If it was a political thing rather than a gay thing you would'nt be allowed to be so biased on the BBC. While most people are tolerant about others race creed and lifestyle, we wouldn't want it forced on us, I'm not forcing mine on you. So let up a bit Russell. A gay blackman, musical theatre and a drag artist in one episode which was to feature the Beatles in the 1960s, where being overtly gay was not a good thing, is not real. There should have been a Beatles ending, not a drag queen, or highschool musical number. This is not Dr Who, it is not what Dr Who was meant to be. I have 60+ years of Dr Who try and reboot that. And Ncuti saying "If you dont like it don't watch", cheeky sod, I was a fan long before you were born. You are custodians of the longest running sci-fi series of all time. It has touched a lot of lives. Ok make Dr Who gay but make him real, not some music theatre characture, a stereotype. Gay people in real life don't have music numbers and drag artists following them around all day. Get a grip.
the dr is pretty much ace, just noting this though as I have no problem with representation, and just wanted to state that to not portray a wrong vision of my comment, as one could easily misinterpret
The Doctor: "Got married! That was a mistake. Good queen Bess. Well, let me tell you, her nickname is no longer... _ahem._ Anyway." Not to say there's something wrong with interpreting the Doctor as ace but arguably he's not been ace since the revival. Classic Who definitely has an ace Doctor though, although him having family hints towards him having a sexuality.
@@fgjsdfgjkl ace doesn't mean no sex at all it just means it isn't the main interest/attraction, also ace can be also be applied to new who too, tho it's a little behind the scenes and not as obvious as before, it's not like told blatantly literally within lines (I think that wasn't the case for classic either but ye) but it can be still seen in the depths of the character, if everything isn't taken literally, which is how media should be viewed and consumed, rather than taking every small detail and line as 100% literal
@@The_Nordic_Doctor fair, I've just seen a bit of criticism about the doctor being attracted to somebody and I feel that criticism is unwarranted bc he's shown this tendency before. But I agree with you that the Doctor is on the aro/ace spectrum leaning towards latent/low attraction
Aim for a minority and that's exactly what you get. Such a shame that Doctor Who has now been bent so far out of shape that it's of interest to virtually no-one.
Sad to see the demise of a once great show simply due to a showrunner wanting to put their own personal messaging out there. I'll go out and 'touch grass' and will never watch another episode.
I see your driven by your detestation Your every step is stoked with animus You need a different type of motivation Or there’s no way that you can handle this I know your thirsting for vengeance Vaggie your out for blood But you’ll only stand a chance if your out for love Out for loooOoooooOOoOove Think of who you care about protect them and be out for lOooooooOooOOove Your gonna fight without gloves long as your out for love Fuel your self with the fear of losing For somebody who’s your reason to live Harness your heart you can’t help but choosing To fight with all you can give I know your thirsting for vengeance Vaggie your out for blood But you’ll only stand a chance if your out for love Out for love loooOooOoOve Your gonna fight without gloves and when that push comes to shove Yeah you might rise above Long as your out for love

The styling for this interview is giving me 1960s movie star in the best possible way. She already is a fashion icon at a young age. Her Met Gala appearances are frequently the most photographed and reported.
