The factory finish has proved to be excellent. I don't see any wear. (In the factory, everything is so precise and evidently good quality finish.) I laid a 3/4" tongue/groove maple floor many years previous to that in a different room, sanded and finished with VARATHANE Crystal Clear Floor Finish. That is the "standard" for me, but much more of a lengthy process. That said, this floor could be refinished too if you needed to. Anyway, I broke down and got the click-lock and we had a durable and attractive floor in one day! Hard to beat the speed, reduced effort and quality! It's on a slab, somewhat moist, so we put down an epoxy coating first as a vapor barrier. There's a time lapse for that too, then 1/8" foam underlayment. Very happy with the whole deal. (The floor is laid left to right - don't start the way I did and try going right to left. That's the problem about not reading directions.)
I wish they had enough space to acquire a steel rollercoaster. I'm thinking more on the line like Revolution, the ride @ Magic Mountain but that ride has a lot of space. SCBB may not have enough space because of the beach right next to the boardwalk
This is a kids/family park aimed for simple things. Rides are aimed for kids 12 and younger, so of course it’s nothing crazy. The park originally started for sightseeing. I work here and it’s a really relaxing place.
By far my #1 favorite ride there! The speed is enough to give u a high thrill factor but not scare/make u hit ur head. The turning of the cars are awesome! It's so cool to go around the actual turns but also being flipping urslef ❤️ it may look ruff to some ppl but I can guarantee u it's not!
I'm going to Gilroy tomorrow I have to wake up at 7:00 so we get there early it's gonna be my first time there but my mom said that it's like the Grate America
I believe if you go to web.archive.org and search pgathrills.com (don't click this link as RU-vid links everything!) you can find websites for California's Great America back in the late 90's and early 2000's with short ride clips similar to this one featuring other rides. :-)
Nevermind that last post. Manuel Andrade just answered my question. Back in the 60's and 70's, ( possibly even 50's) there was a ride called the wild mouse located where the log ride entance and staging area is now. I think it was pink and it was a very old and very jerky ride. I think they took it out around 73 or 74? Does anyone remember that?
It was made using a lot of wood. I rode it in 1973 but shortly afterward they closed it because I heard someone stood up and was decapitated, but it may have just been local myth-lore.
First thing I work there and it's not called the spinning wild mouse its just called undertow oh and i got to ride it way before the ride was open in the summer. but still good video
manny 831 that type of coaster is a “wild-mouse” type coaster they are very common. This one is a spinning wild-mouse. The name of the coaster is undertow though
Hey sfmman2000, Do not go on these rides! My uncle died on the swing ride at the fair last year! The people who put these rides together are underpaid and the fair is trying to cover it up! RIP MARTY! vid here, please reshare with your friends - /watch?v=kbvzHJO4eIg
