Thank you for this video it was a big help. It is absolutely ridiculous that I have to go googling every time I try to do anything with my cardo. (This time the frustration was not knowing i had to hit the intercom button again to talk in BT intercom mode, it was driving me insane. I was trying to add a 3rd device that is BT only.)

Trying to do cardo freecom 4+ to a Lexin b4fm. I go to cardo gateway pairing and then mobile pairing on the Lexin and can’t get them to pair. Do I need to turn Bluetooth off or the cardo app off or stop cell connection to cardo? I am struggling….

Man, thank YOU! I spent a couple of hours trying to figure it out but had both in Universal Pairing; followed your advice and bam! All works now. I can now enjoy intercom when riding with my daughter =)
I’m trying to add an Edge to my bold existing group. It worked a few months ago but not now after updating the edge firmware. Now the edge creates a new group with just it & my bold (that’s all the units present today) & the edge is admin. Next time we ride with the group, I guess we’ll have to start pairing all over again
I don't think anything changed with this on the latest update for Edge, but I do know that the Bold MUST be in grouping/admin mode (flashing red/green) BEFORE you start grouping mode on the Edge, otherwise the Edge will default to admin. Hope that helps!
I started my Bold pairing first, then started the Edge. The Edge successfully joined my existing group. Many thanks! Your videos have helped me immensely!
If you have the Packtalk in phone pairing mode (pressing and holding that "Phone" button until the LED is flashing red/blue) and it's not showing up on your phone, try turning Bluetooth off on your phone and turning it back on again. Def should show up on the list!
So are you saying that if I connect intercom between one unit to say, a Sena, the first unit can have intercom and a phone connnection for music, but the Sena can have intercom only - no connection to a phone for music?
As described in this video, yes. BUT, there's been an update from Cardo since I made this, and that update allows the Cardo and Sena to pair together using their standard Bluetooth Intercom Pairing on both sides! If the Sena has BT v4.1 or higher, then disregard this video and pair them together using normal intercom pairing on both sides (Cardo and Sena). If it's an older Sena, or some other brand, then this video is the way you need to do it. Hope that helps!
@@MotoGeekFreak Thanks so much for taking time to reply. I am having no luck. I am trying to connect a Fodsports M1S pro to a phone, a Sena SMH 5 to a phone, and then the two to intercom. The Fodsports is ok. But once intercom is connected the Sena will not connect to a phone, and cannot intiate an intercom call. Videos keep saying press the jog dial - no matter what length of time I press the jog dial for, the Sena just goes in to a continual double beeping.
It will pair but since the Garmin would be on mobile 2 it would have less priority than mobile phone 1 and you may miss some messages from the GPS if you're doing anything on mobile phone 1 (like listening to music from your phone). This is why GPS pairing may be better, as it has higher priority and will interrupt if you're listening to music from mobile phone 1 pairing. Hope that makes sense!

Hello, thanks for video tutorials for cardo devices. I have Cardo smartpack, i have struggles with connections because of too many devices. My cardo connected to my phone. There's an universal "Android Auto" device attached on my motorcycle, so it connected my phone too. That device has option to connect headset. When i receive call on my phone, it directs sound to "Android Auto (AA) device", sound come from device itself or sometimes on cardo. If i connect cardo to "AA device" then i can't connect to my passengers cardo. My cardo says it "busy". Can you recommend how to connect that devices properly in order ? My android auto device is universal one which have 5" screen and small canopy on it
If you are not the administrator of the group just a member, can you still instigate the private chat with another member within the group?? ie member to member?
If I understand this correctly, can you set up your Cardo to use the phone without the GPS, and when the GPS is with you, can you switch channels? This way, you get the best of both worlds when the GPS unit has many features.
Shouldn't you start out by saying IF, you can't get your universal pairing to connect to other brands, this is another way to connect with Limited Range of 50ft or less so it's only good for rider to passenger. Yes, the info you give is helpful and valueable but at least be a bit more transparent so people know what they're getting into. Yay .. We got it. Let's ride. Oh shit. It keeps disconnecting when we ride off. WTF? He this guy trying to sell DMC?
Will it automatically connect to whichever intercom when we switch in between DMC and bluetooth. Say im in DMC mode and are talking with my buddies, and i want to switch to my passenger which is using bluetooth, will it auto connect to my passenger? Or i still need to use the app to command the intercom to connect to my passenger

I turned it on, and now i can't turn off. Now, the volume always goes all the way up and screaming as soon as i get 50+ mhp. Even deleted the app, but the problem isn't solved.
5 years later and still making a difference. We had an issue this morning trying to connect Cardo to Wayxin intercoms. Couldn’t figure it out and this video helps a lot. Will try when we next ride. Thanks for this tip
hi! It works fine in a perfect conditions. For example, when i´m driving my motorcycle a lot of times it does not recognize what i said. The fact i'm not native in english probably helps, but sometimes it´s boring. Any tip to help me? Thnaks in advance.
I found out what was wrong, if you listen to apple music, idk why but, apple will be sneaky sometimes through updates and they turned my sound check on which will ruin your loudness, cut it off and in your phone settings and everything will be good again, if its on it cripples all Bluetooth devices
I have watched this 4.85k times. Every other Saturday we need to reconfigure our mesh network for some reason and the guys always look to me. Although simple, why does it seem so complicated?
