Drive like somebody's watching! This is the channel for Full Length Interstates, an infrastructure video series. We drive the full length and really long sections of various roads. Videos are minimal-detour, in real time, minimal (generally no) commentary, with sound but never music. Driving is performed with a good faith attempt at safety and legality. Additional content includes State Routes/US Highways, as well as depiction of roads in videogames/simulation. I once drove all the way to the Mexican Border without crossing it. Had to pay attention not to miss the last USA Exit. Las Americas Outlet is right there by the border, on the U.S. side.
Great life, Oregon State and I-5 odds for 4 hours away in California! Northbound and Southbound on traffic Glide is Clyde Clutched on I-5 Interstate 5 4K60 on Thursday Morning or Sunday Afternoon or Monday Midnight!
Looking at the hillside at MM120, This was probably recorded in Late May, Early June last year. Usually 2nd week of June, that hillside is almost fully dry grass.
Are you kidding? This is a joke, right? I live in Oregon. I have endured that boring, endless drive more times than you can count. And you make a full-length real-time video of that? So, what's next? A 5-hour video of grass growing? Paint drying? How about a video of someone watching "Once Upon A Time In America" straight through. Not the movie, just the person watching. I'd watch that instead.
Interesting video. I didn't know it was possible to make this trip in just 4 hours and 50 minutes. It goes right by the exit where I used to live in Ashland. I am actually planning on watching the entire video when time will allow. Thanks very much for doing this.
Good choice on hitting the Express Lanes at downtown Seattle. Once through the tunnel, you can see the I-5 Mainline traffic is completely stopped. You saved a lot of time there.
I am back again. I looked up the parkway on Wikipedia, and found that it was proposed by Franklin Roosevelt in 1925, while he was Chairman of the Taconic State Park Commission, but was not completed until 1963. In fact, I remember vaguely driving on part of it in the late 1950s, and already found it mesmerizing. Indeed, for anyone else who is immersed in this drive, the Wikipedia description adds a lot of useful information, including things to look for as you drive through the different counties. A lot of history. Thank you for screening!
Dark matter on I-295 has Jacked up Jacksonville Florida as Inner Loop and Outer Loop on Duval County Area and Jacksonville Outer Loop is I-295 Beltway on it too! Steve and his crew were there for I-295 to Jacksonville
8:17:30 Jars are made with Georgia or Florida into South Carolina finally, but Savannah is the one that I-95 Southbound takes it too! It’s not the best Florence after all, and it’s the most expensive Lumberton in Virtually all Brunswick is GA this Georgia…….
21:47 Someone stole our RAV4 and is driving it across Pennsylvania! 🙂 Seriously, that stretch of I-80 is the loneliest road I know of East of the Mississippi.
You can see the desert is coming to an end at around 3:25:00, not just from the increasingly green side of the road, but from the clouds in the distance.
