This sounds awesome! I'm excited to see more with the SQ-64 as you explore it! I have one in my closet that I picked up when Korg was doing a blowout sale on them a year or two ago and I've been planning to get it out to do some dawless stuff soon.
@@DisciplinedCommotion Thank you! I also really enjoyed noodling about with that synth line so much I recorded a second short clip experimenting with it. I’ll upload that later 😉
@@DisciplinedCommotion Microfreak, super saw oscillator with a little resonance cranked up on the LP filter to make the filter sweeps a little sweeter 👌
In the past, there was a fashion for vocoders. People "sang" through vocoders to their electronic music. Right now I remember one such person [from the younger generation]: www.youtube.com/@LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER
@@frevrix Indeed he is wild, but wildness is the domain of youth ;). He's very good at reverse engineering, his projects are on a cosmic level. I wish I could do that much, but my only one project related to music is a simple sequencer based on arduino :)
Yes, it's a good idea to increase the "talkativeness" of this oscillator. The voice resembles the cyborg from SYSTEM SHOCK, the music fits the cyberpunk climate, although there were lower bass. Nicely done!
🦾YES, finally... the young cyborg has spoken! He definitely needs to have his word library expanded ;) A very catchy beat. Great song! You can even dance to it. Well done.
@@Tsumios it’s a phenomenally powerful little MIDI composer, fits great in a DAWless setup, but I was NOT expecting the little keyboard on it to be SO MUCH FUN to play. It’s an experience for sure! There’s no velocity sensitivity on it but I find that actually helps…I had a Keystep 37 and was really disappointed because the velocity on it made all my notes much quieter, so I actually prefer playing on the QY70 keyboard. I got mine through Guitar Center online, but they pop up from time to time on Reverb and EBay as well!
Hahaha, I noticed that after uploading the video, there’s actually a storm door on the outside, so it’s not fully open but I’m never going to not see that now!😅
He made the off-hand comment a few weeks ago that it would be cool if we could make a song together one day, so I’ve been looking for ways to allow him to be a part of my jams. I’m blessed to be able to share my passion for synths with him!
