So much respect for South Asian community in Britain. Rarely do we ever see South Asian men marrying our English Grandmothers for visas once they are here. They will struggle, work hard and live beneath their means. If their immigration status expires they will pay for a business arrangement marriage, before they would EVER have a child solely to secure a visa. West and North African men could learn a lot. South Asian people are very proud.

I lived in 2 different houses in Southall Around 1977. £ 12 a week . own room. Shared the kitchen with Indian families, Very nice. I will be going back to London Next year maybe. But I CERTAINLY would expect to pay a lot more than that. Ha.
1970s Southall was a much better time than now - it has become uncivilised and utter chaos with the amount of congestion - such a shame - even the 80s there were a lot of British shops and it was more clean/open

Hey Meldon! I'm doing my computer engineering in India right now. And I'm thinking of coming to UK after my studies get over via PT passport(Let's hope Brexit won't affect me by the time). Half of my family is already in the UK but everyone does labour jobs there. I don't know what are the job prospects there for a Bachelor Graduate. It'll be a leap of faith for me. Should I work in India for a year or two and then go there or Should I do masters in Europe first and then try to find a job? Or can I find one after I finish my graduation? I have no one from my family who has done engineering and went to the UK. Please shed some info regarding the same. It'll be a great help! thanks and stay safe!
