gosh, that equalizer really confused me at 0:49! I possess the same EQ purchased in the 80s, only mine is made by Kenwood and is 100% exactly the same!! In all these years I had no idea that Pioneer and Kenwood shared the exact same EQ product. I wonder if only one of them actually made them but labeled some Pioneer and some Kenwood.
@@patcallahan1050 huh, yes, now you say that I can see that there is something suspicious visible just behind the eer of the pion-eer badge. As if the Kenwood badge has been removed with a thin cotton string or something and a Pioneer label added. What do you mean by the silk screen? I looked that up and it seems to have something to do with linotype printing (??). Do you suspect it is a Kenwood unit re-badged then? That would certainly explain it.
i have all those components , but have a kenwood that looks a lot like the pioneer equalizer bellow either than the GR-777,also have the A-717mkII instead and the turntable is a PL-540 in cast iron from 1979 ,I also have a complete top end system from the 76 catalog with a older expander and a PLC-590 turntable from the 20 series with a personalized arm and cartridge a old MC audio -technica ,also have the 80´s ex-9000 but the display with it´s multi-colour effect don´t like it but it works to improve old jazz recordings from late 40´s to early 60´s depending on the studio, i own a lot more my family since my grandfather were a Pioneer family, nice display you have there , the cd player is a PD-S802 but also have the PD-9700 with that litle turntable like the previous model ,my CD-R is older looks like the cd player from the 90´s but taller and with meters on the display , also have PD-F100 cd player horizontal multi-player not carroussel and have also a PD-S603S because of the flex function that it seems to correct the azimuth on older recordings but it´s not what it says in the description and to end a CT-757MKII cassette deck either than the previous and the CT-959 i also have that ,believe it or not with all tests done possible the CT-979 or the previous it records and plays better than the DRAGON. 1000ZXL ,ZX-9 , CR-7a and the cassette deck 1 that i also own, i´m stoping here ,it would be good to make reference to the speakers but i think i already described a lot of my most modern system, which your looks a lot better , mine is confusing ,i´m using also the A-656MKII and the A-616MKII ,Mission Argonaut 80´s model the MKII with 200watts at 4ohms ,mission M33i ,cs-997 and the 220watts model too and some SB-F3 from technics ,it´s all in a large piece of furniture made of wood ,sorry for being excessive
