Sir I think the major blame lies on India's almost non existent Labour laws. These companies couldn't have done this in any western countries. Why are they able to exploit employees like this making them work 18 hours and paying them less only in India? Cuz our country has no seriousness regarding any standards whether it's safety standards or labour standards. No importance is given on mental health and quality of living. I'm doing articleship in normal firm and there is no staff or article except me.. I did all the work from the photocopy to file tax audit but there's is no appreciation from their side although both ca boomed me and taunt me.. Same line bole the ca ne mere hum log bhi article the ek baar ca bol diya wohi kaam bss jitta der lg😢 Icai should see off this matter with immediate concern as the minimum no of staff or article and bss audit kehne ko hai icai should do implement thr control but can't check it
Actually this is also happening in during articleship ......so many sicho CAs are there....... in my 3yrs articleship only i and god knows...what i felt....
EY India is a horrible place. People who leave the office before 11 p.m. are marked half-day. They celebrate toxic overtime until 3-4 a.m., be it women or men. It's totally unnecessary. Even if your deliverables are on time, they still want you to slog. This culture is actually promoted by the global head offices of Big4. Managers only become partners by how many people quit or commit su*c*de under their tenure.
Sir manager ko toh manager of the year ka award and appreciation chaiye. Sab matlabi hai sir Unko ghanta farak nhi padta relationship se. Saap hai sab. 19 se 22 ki umar in saap me bitai hai. Ca final pe bhi bhut farak pad gya , 2-3 attempt soch soch kar nikal diye itne kam leaves di inhone ,itna depression me daal diya tha mujhe. Manager exploits karthe hay sir, they make their work done by executives. Wo b review ke naam pe sab credit Lethe hay. Ca banke semi ko exploit karthe hay.

This comment for all those, who don't want to join big 4 after hearing this dark side:- First be eligible for that, Then think about joining or not. Harsh truth. If u don't like rule, learn the rule reach at the top and change the rule.
Not only Big 4 all people in Audit and Accounts department of Corporate, have worst work culture, all work late night, if you get to leave by 6 you are the most fortunate person as 10 pm is normal on daily basis, if you have any deadline you may have to work all night as well.
6:00 Completely agree with your POV. Same things happens to me during my articleship days, when I stressed with my ex principle and team. I simply put resignation and within one month I got selected at a very good and reputed firm for articleship. For me key learning here is, "Have faith in God and believe in your capabilities, God will definitely take you at better place"
After becoming CA/CMA/CS please go for firms or corporates who are not very rigid! These big 4's, big 6's will kill you mentally if not physically! There is a sitcom How I met your mother, in that Marshall is a character who wanted to save environment but ended up working a corporate job just for money! His character literally was exhausted and drained!
Sach mei ab awaz uthane ki zaroorat hai, Be it a CA /CMA ARTICLESHIP OR a Corporate Job, there should be a proper labour law followed by each and every firm and organization in pan India Bhai insan hai insano jaisa kaam karvao, professionalism ki izzat hi nhi hai, or kuch logo ko 75 working hrs glorify karna hai Pehle hi baht struggle krke aya hai banda, vo same stress aage bhi jelega toh kya bacha phr aisi zindagi jeene ka, or har ARTICLESHIP ki stipend bhi mazak ke barabar hai or workload hours majdooro se bhi battar hoga Company Cost bachane k liye barabar layoff ki jaati hai or saara burden vohi limited bando per jaiga jo ghulam bane baithe hai Sharam aati hai ab india mei rehne jaha mehnat, padai ka koi value nhi, na proper salary/stipend mil skti, na work load kam hota, job security nhi milegi, proper law follow nhi hota, crime rates/corruption alag sar dard hai idhr😭😭😭😭😭 aap jaise youtuber ki hi zaroorat hai awareness ke liye ... thank you so much for uploading
5:31 exactly I also work in a big 4 and if your manager is good or understanding then this problem will not all be there in the first place. I also faced such suffocating managers in the first 6 months of my experience in this big 4 but as my manager got changed now it's all fine. But the people working under that particular manager are still facing the same suffocation!!
CA ki demand vese hi kam ho rahi hai.. Agar overtime nhi kiya to ye laat maar ke nikal denge firms se to majburi mai kaam karna padega ghar chalana hai to or koi option nahi hai..😊

Aaj kal Big 4 big 4 ka bhut craze h or aaj kal kya yeh bhut pehle se chalta aa rha h ki articleship big4 m hi krenge or job EY deloitte m hi chaiye, yeh sirf ek imagination h, kahin bhi articleship job kr lo yaar, sab accha hi kroge, big4 jaroori h kya, goli maaro big4 ko.
I have recently completed my articleship from EY stat audit and due for Nov 24 attempt. Whatever return in that letter was absolutely true. I had nightmare over there. In burning fever, I was asked to submit medical proof because AM was unable to trust me that I had fever. So I used to live in hostel alone and in 103°, I have to go hospital to get doctor proof. I was working for her from past 3-4 months with her and that was how our so called team
I was in Grant Thornton, it happened with me in my articleship I quit there and joined Industrial Training where I enjoyed and loved the people, Now I'm enjoying the process of CA Finals Prep. Make these so called top Firms your ex and move on. I would say
Sir mere toh CA FINAL ka sirf Group 2 rehta hai lekin CA ho jaane ke baad mera koi plan nahi hai to join BIG 4 rather koi around 40 to 40 k ki hi job mil jaaye that is sufficient for me.....kyunki sir main stories bhi likhta hoon pocket novel pe aur astrology bhi seekh raha hoon toh main aisi job karna chahta hoon jahaan main apne passion ko bhi time de paaun......BIG 4 is a totally waste of time 😅
