Nearly every Psycroptic song has that "riff tourettes" feeling - chunky, rhythmic chords but it's always a countdown to the next 16th note noodle. I love it. Joe Haley loves to play and it shows
Literally met Joe in the pit. Such a humble dude, told him how much I loved his riffs. Showed him his own youtube clips. I probably came off as such a mess. My dude goes up on stage and plays all the cuts I talked his ear off about. Made my night. Such a fun band.
If you get a chance to see Psycroptic live, you absolutely should, they're incredibly tight and amazing. As a side note people mightn't know about, Dave Haley also drums in the band Werewolves, and you should definitely see them live if you can.
From your playing to your tone to your nuances in detail - You are so unique!! I absolutely love how you play. Youre uses of hammer-ons/offs with quick yet smooth transitions from riffs to riffs is undeniably one of a kind. I love your shit, dude! Keep on going
Joe haley as a guitarist has been such a big idol and influence to me and my own playing, and psycroptic, since first listening has become my favourite band, so original riffs and composure, big thanks to you for doing what you do and making amazing music, greetings from finland🤘🏼
Hey mate! Haha yeah I usually use EVH5150iii’s but on this run we didn’t have space for cabs. I was just running the EVH profile on my kemper. I’ve been running that the last couple of runs actually and it’s working pretty well!
