This clock is magical and gorgeous. It’s such a precious clock combined with the passion of art in harmony with music that it even makes me tear up. I love seeing things like these.
Tourbillion is an impressively overbuilt Watch mechanism costing well into the six figure region. This is a handsome Swiss based movement, with auto wind feature. The price offered for the luxury feel this Watch brings is quite a bargain! Order one and you’ll surely appreciate it! Thanks.
@@KingWoodClocks its not Swiss and it's definitely not a tourbillon. Just call it a flywheel skeleton automatic watch. No need to falsely advertise as tourbillon
Storms in the winter season come primarily from the north, this is why box should be mounted in a southern position. The box has plenty drainage & circulation through the cleverly designed base!🦉
Take minute hand around until cuckoo. Count cuckoo. Gently take hour hand then point to how many cuckoos there were. Should have slip nut in center to make manual adjustment. Then reset your time accordingly. Hopefully this is the fix you seek! 🤔
I had the stupid idea to turn off the sound in order to set the time, but unfortunately when I turned the sound back on, to my shock it... didn't start chiming. It's been more than twelve hours, but it still doesn't chime. What am I supposed to do in this case? Please answer me ASAP! 🙏🥺 You're my last hope! 🥺
That's a tricky one! The lever could be worn a bit and possibly moved far enough from movement to miss the on/off for the cuckoo chime. You can move it up and down a few times to see if it catches. If it's over ten years old this is common, it can be adjusted by a clockshop, but could be pricey, due to having to remove entire unit to get to front of clock movement. Good luck, sorry there's no easy fix.
One of the weights is for the chime and cuckoo and one is for telling the time. The one for the chime and cuckoo will fall quite quickly when it's striking and the other weight will move very slowly but constantly over the course of it running. Think of 'The Hare and the Tortoise' and you're exactly right.
We recently moved to Hays county in the hill country of Austin. Dogs were goin crazy tonight so we grabbed some headlamps and went for a tour around the yard, that’s when we saw the eyes from our biggest tree. 🦉🦉🦉 so glad you made this video & you’re local. Thank you 🙏🏽
Both the chains have come out from their respective chain wheels. The chains are moving freely. Guide me to fix the chains in their wheels without opening the clock / removing the mechanism.
Sorry no easy fix there. Remove pendulum. I assume weights are off. Flip, remove back panel. Dental pick or even piece of wire coat hanger could assist in guiding chain. Make sure to thread thru in right direction, with weight hook on the resistant side of the chain gear if that makes sense. Otherwise you’ll have to rethread chain, taking pull tab and hook ends off, and flipping them. Not fun, but doable. This is a occasionally necessary evil if you can’t thread the ends of the chain thru movement. Hope this helps. Best of Luck!
Camera angle!📸 We do run one lower for my 6 year old though. Shortened chains, and we reset every Wednesday and Sunday. Great responsibility for young kids! One of many chores she completes for Roblox bucks allowance! 🤣
@@KingWoodClocks It's not the camera angle, I can hear the chains hitting the floor, as well as you saying, "let the chains drop to the floor" at 2:41. The chains are on the floor.
@@KingWoodClocks Yes, I know that. It doesn't explain why you installed yours with the chains lying on the floor. You don't seem to want to acknowledge or explain that.
@@Josef_R Good sir, you see when you are shooting a video, it’s easier to have things at eye level to operate. You can hang it wherever you like. It will just come down to managing the chains. If they sit on floor they will collect dust and clog up the delicate gearing. Best of luck!🥸
Thanks for your video , quite useful, however my cuckoo bird pops out 10 min before the hour is there any tips to get it cuckoo exactly at the hour ? Thanks in advance
Take minute hand around until cuckoo. Then loosen hand nut, minute hand should have a slip washer, point hand to top of hour, retighten. Hopefully this is the fix you seek! 🤔
I have a problem with my clock. It was working perfectly fine until I turned it off for the night by pushing up the manual shut off wire below the clock, but when I pulled it back down again to turn it back on this morning the cuckoo didn't call anymore nor did the music play. What do I have to do? Please answer me ASAP! 🙏🥺
Sometimes repeatedly moving the lever will work…. The shutoff stick that extends into box may be caught, or the toggle on movement may be worn out. Sadly these clock movements are poorly designed, and only usable for approx 10-20 years.
@@KingWoodClocks thanks a lot! Your advice was big time help! I was worried I might have to take it to the clock shop already, and it would have been really frustrating given the fact that I only bought it a few days ago. But it seems it wasn't necessary to get it serviced already.
There's one more thing I want to know. My clock is a one day clock. Does that mean I have to take it to the clock shop to be serviced more often than a 8 day clock?
@@alinamagda2547 if you take it in, they may just adjust it for you quickly at the counter. Typically not charging for minimal adjustment. Keep clock running, away from heat, as dust free as possible, and service normally like any other clock. Roughly 3-5 years for a 1 day cuckoo. Hope that helps!
Also a movement can last over 100 years. They have to be properly serviced every 3-5 years. Movement taken out, taken apart, cleaned, bushings if necessary, put back together, movement oiled and then put back into the clock. I have antique cuckoo clocks that are over 100 years old and newer ones and they all have the same movement in them. Again good video.
Newer, 50ish year, cuckoo clocks all have the same junk movements. These just get a straight replacement. Cute clocks, but mostly tourist finds, that die out without proper maintenance.
Nice video. Dont know if you know this or not but your clock is missing the topper. This clock is known as a "After the hunt" hunters cuckoo clock. Being that the rabbit and pheasant have been shot. Therefore there should be a topper that is normally a fancy carved piece of wood with a stag deer head right in the middle. A before the hunt hunters cuckoo clock would have a live rabbit and pheasant sitting straight up on a piece of land. The topper would be either a live deer on top of the fancy piece of wood or the plague for the deer head but being empty. Again nice video.
