I'm Adam, and this is Horizons Forge where we are telling the story of Aethercall, a world of my own creation, through the crafting and building of epic diorama pieces.
Have an idea for a wizard pose like Gandalf's "...shall not pass." A clear hamster ball or the top off a 2-liter soda bottle. Something like a splash from a drop of water.
Hey man, nice build! Love the backstory and the mech turned out really well! 👍 Also great job painting the figure. I think all in all it turnd out really well, just a few things i would like to suggest: i would have given the mech an overall wash to bring out more details, i would like to suggest using more different coloured and longer grass at the end and also more flowers, the sponge chipping looks a bit illogical - i would have done it especially in areas that would receive more wear and tear, also i think it's a pity that you mostly covered up the beautiful mixture you used for the ground, composition: I would have added another vertical element on the scene, something the mech is a contrast or addition to , maybe a tree or a sharp rock or an antenna tower or something like that. Anyway, i think it's great! Keep up the good work! 👍💪
This is your first video that I have seen. I am now Subscribed. Its really cool. Also have you ever tried using a rock for rock texture? It sounds kind of dumb but as an artist I can tell you it works
I really like it but to be honest my fav dioramas of yours are the one with the crashed ship and the other one with the steampunk house and the boy with the drone! Have you think on making an epic scale diorama like 1/144 Flying dreadnoughts VS dragons on a diorama with flying islands with a lot of clouds? :O I mean maybe its better than making a 28 mm dreadnought... im pretty tempted to scratchbuild one BUT... my god its too big.
That's funny because I based this world off of an old D&D world I created! I have plans to implement this world into some form of miniature/tabletop game.
This is really amazing!!! Also your story telling kept me here till the end of the video, I hope u continue to kitbash more mechs and continue to tell magnificent stories!
I saw the scorpion model yesterday and had a similar idea for a diorama... I stumbled across your project on instagram shortly afterwards and absolutely love what you have done with it. It was a joy to watch the stages you have gone through in making your diorama. Keep up the awesome work!
This fits the spirit of the first game so much since this is the original intention of OG Final Fantasy vii. To look like handcrafted dioramas with every scene! Incredible work
The car and some details were 3d printed. The light posts specifically were from a model railroad company, I bought them on Amazon some time ago and they come pre wired for lighting!
This is a fantastic video and I have to say that, for now keeping in mind that the ratio between likes and comments its quite equilibrated I mean: you have almost as much comments as likes this means that the people watching at your videos its interested in more (myself included) it's just the yt algorythm the one messing arround but the video, the story and the quality overall including editing its nice. So please keep doing more steampunk World building! Its awesome.
Fun fact. I had to build the model twice and both versions appear in the video. There's a chance I actually made that mistake TWICE. Try to sleep at night now!
Firstly, thanks for liking my work enough to consider purchasing some! Sorry to say that I don't currently sell my projects (especially this one since it was a gift to myself haha) and don't currently have the bandwidth for commissions. That being said my contact info is in my profile so you can always reach out to me there or keep following me in case something changes in the commission front!
This piece is incredible. Your journey as an artist and as a storyteller is inspirational. You've inspired me to see painting as an adventure again. Keep up the work. - DF
