This is not how to test a fan clutch. Worked fine here, with a very loose clutch, but if its a good clutch, fan blades can get damaged. I've seen a metal blade come off a running fan, because it was damaged, and out balance.
Still using your video for repair of this antique generator for my husband. His recoil starter needs replaced and ran across this video searching for a replacement recoil. Nice Save!!
Whew, I wouldn't let go of the Peerless 2500 series if installed on any of those. I finally got a Ford LGT17.5H, which is a Gilson design, so have a basis to begin with modifying the YT's to have the beefier rear end. I'll most likely be welding pipe or more steel on the chassis to begin with. Will be interesting to see how to fit other implements as well to be as interchangeable as I can be with what I have for the farm boys.
Aren't the 2500 had the limited slip diff? I think that's the difference between the 2300 and 2500. It's been years since I heard someone mention 2500 lol
@@HillbillyOffroading I think so, unless they're locked. All are from what I've seen and own. From what I know, the 2300 are the manual transmissions and the 2500 are the super tough rugged if well maintained hydros like found on the Jacobson Homelite Ford LGT's, Gilson Ford LGT's and some others I've seen over the years I think some Montgomery Wards as well. That's at least where I've found where isn't crazy high priced. I think they're still made to this day along with the Eaton 11 hydraulic pump that mounted to the Peerless 2500 series case. The 2300's are found all over the place where easiest to do a Google images search of the two and see the applications. The 2300's I think are beasts as well.
Awesome footage! Loving the wheelies, Youd think id be okay with being out in the back yard talking to myself on camera by now but im not 😅 so i feel you lol
Yeah that's why I was gone forever when I left you and scotty that Friday morning. Lol! I will say this. I was Mad at myself for trashing them fenders but they are beautiful now. I know you was too. I'm setting up my cargo trailer like a mini garage. Work bench, welder, tool box, ect.
Sweet tractor. I have 2 of them a dayton and a agwayGT same thing just badged different and i THINK yours is a 995 if im not mistaken. I have the 18hp briggs and smokes like a shit show cant find any parts on it so trying to find a engine that will essentially plug and play with the shaft and such. Looking forward to seeing you bring this back to life. And definitely agree they do not make them this rugged anymore, heavy heavy machines
