@@jakejohnson4607 40 pound braid that breaks with almost zero tension. Fishing in Mississippi Pike country!! Usually I can find areas that have more bass and less pike, but today they were mixed.
Get a cabelas 1hp meat grinder and jerky slicer attachment because the 1hp carnivore meat grinder is on sale for $549.98 and the jerky slicer attachment is on sale for $149.98
@@michellegaskin6632 they’re pretty easy to process and last a long time in the freezer. I dice up half a mushroom steak and add it to anything that needs a little mushroom flavor (spaghetti sauce, stew, etc). They basically disappear into whatever I’m cooking but you can definitely taste them. I’m not a fan of eating them as fried mushrooms or even bite size chunks in things…their texture is too mushy for that.
@@kellyclark7517 Yes. Especially the giant ones. Small puffballs are too, but there is a look alike. If they are white all the way through the inside, they’re edible.
I own the carbon xcs as well as the phantom from Piscifun. I have never had any issue with either one of these reels. I fish 3 to 4 times a week and prefer using both these reels, even more than my Shimano Curado or slx reels. I have a friend who bought the carbon xcs after testing mine and also have had no problem with it. I am sorry that you had this bad experience with it because i cannot failt it at all. Hope they will resolve it for you.
@@vernervanschalkwyk2280 thanks for the comment. It seems like most people are having a good experience with these reels, so maybe I just had two bad ones for some reason. My other Piscifun is great, so I may give them another chance with a similar reel in the future because the reel was great until it failed.
@@huntfishcamp It is a pity that it happened. Do you think that Kastking or the cheaper Abi Garcia reels could maybe be better? I also saw a test of the new Seasir M1 i think the name is on "Tje reel test" channel. He rates it very highly.
All these spots and still got guys in their $80k boat casting over some dudes line from the shore😂. Hope some of those tournament guys get their weights dq fishing near/inside dams that are marked with bouys and signs😂
Caught a tagged trout or salmon in the Root River 40/45 years ago. There was a creel survey going on so they recorded the information and asked if I wanted a report sent to my home. Much to my surprise my fish had lost weight and length by the WDNR data. LOL
Really a great video! Loved the format and loved the explanation at the end!!! Very useful for those of us who only get out there once or twice a year!!! Keep the great content coming and Tight Lines!!!
@@Brrrzzzeeezzz I should definitely do that. I actually collected footage to make that video, but never got around to putting it all together. Thanks for the suggestion!
So this is pool 7? Fishing out in the wide open? For fishing pool 7 where would I put my boat in? Sorry for the questions never been there was thinking about going tomorrow.
No need to be sorry, I'm happy to help out. Yes, pool 7 out on the lake. It is one giant weed flat with some weeds above the surface, some below, and some bare spots making lots of hidden edges to fish. It can be tough to find the fish out there at times, but usually they are grouped up in those areas once you do. Schafer's landing is probably the easiest, but there is also a landing at the Sailboat club on the south side of the lake and Fred Funk in a channel on the north east side.
@@huntfishcamp Fred Funk boat landing on the map seems probably the closest for my drive. So that wide open area by that boat launch is good? If I stayed there or went north or south of that is it hard to navigate hazards?
@@ericelmer5289 Fred Funk is the nicest landing . . .That whole area is great if you plan to put the trolling motor down and just fish. Definitely not a place to run around because there are lots of stumps.
@@huntfishcamp like your set up I’ll just put the ghost down and troll then from launch through the whole day. I’ve always fished south down by Wyalusing. Do you think lacrosse is better?
Love your shorts often good tips shown quickly. I've seen a few videos this summer of walleye and now sauger on frogs. I think I will try them this fall on the dam run. TIGHT LINES ALL
