I listened to the original performance, but parts of Mariah Carey's vocal details were a bit weak, and that is easy to see if you play the original, then play this version with Katrina Velarde's vocals. They are stronger with greater detail and clarity. I like this performance better than the original.
She's in the same league as only one other female vocalist, the great Streisand. No one else, including Celine, can touch them. Her tone is perfection and her timing is Sinatra-esque.
