Hello, hope you are doing well. I would like to thank you for all your effort and work that you do for us. Rocky Top is a great classic, I’m looking forward to to working on the tune and adding it to my bag of tunes. I really do appreciate and admire your work and kindness.
My favorite is the second version ! Please, can you perform a 2-3 mins version of the second and upload her on ytb ! It will remind my childhood ❤ "Please, Oh Susanna !" 😂
Thank you very much for your kind Information 🙏 I am a Classical Tenor-Violist-Panpipeflutist, and I'm going to travel from my hometown to Berlin on a small Aeroplane a Turbo Propp Machine an ATR 42, it is a small Regional Airline, so my hometown is a small German City, and that is the "only" Airline which flies from my hometown to BER 🤷♂️,and I have a Concert in Oktober in the North Of Brandenburg German Province, I take my the Viola, cause besides Singing, play some parts with Viola, the Panpipeflute leavw at home, cause the Stress with an 3rd. Instrument this time not, maybe next time, cause each Extra Handlaguage cost 30 €,but from my hometown to Berlin is 900 km away, the German Railway System is at the Moment "really baaaad!!!" Lots of delays of over 80 Min 🤮!!! So to fly is way less Stress, and the Rest Stress coming to the Town, where my Concert is, take the Stress in risque the 2 hours 🚂 ride😬🙏🙏🙏🤷♂️, there is No Airport from the City, where the Concert talkes place,so Berlin is the nearest! Again, thank you very much and I wish you all the best to you 🍀🍀🍀🎶🎻= for you a Violon, for me a Viola 😊, Kind regards from 🇪🇺 🇩🇪 Black Forest Region, Yours, Josha 🙋♂️
I'm an adult beginner taking classes and scouring youtube to fill in where I'm just not getting "it". This is the absolutely most helpful tip on bow holding that I have come across, thank you just what I needed. This changes everything.
Very nice. But technically. two notes don’t make an actual “chord” - but a partial chord. Admittedly, the I-V Tonic-Dominant combination does give a chord-like sound - although lacking in Major/Minor chord fullness of sound. And yes, that’s better than nothing and good enough lots of times.
double stops & chords = layers 🤩 i mean technically chords are just layering notes on top of eachother at the same time and really adds depth to the piece. because all flat singular notes can get boring. imo ofc. everyone has their own music preferences. because it’s art and expression and experience and not all humans are raised the same way. 😊 anyway your repertoire sounds beautiful as always.
I cannot fucking tap without the entire violin going up and down, and theres no counter-pressure for the finger to press the strings. I'm so fucjing frustrated.
WOW thank you for showing how this simple tune can blossom as a demonstration of so many techniques!!!! Ugh! I cannot wait until I can do this!!! Ok time to practice... Your video on chords.... 😔😂
I am having difficulty when practicing double stop thirds where the lower note is let’s say played with my fourth finger and the higher note is played with my second finger… And I can’t stop my wrist from collapsing. Can you suggest anything or any exercises to assist? THANK YOU
Dear Kevin Clemmons! Your all right! This is very normal. If you have a certified accredited teacher of the violin and he or she takes you through first position and leads you into chords your fingers will ache! This is normal. Intense pain is not normal and you should ease up a bit. SLOANS LINEMANT MAY HELP CHORDS ARE DIFFICULT AND THEY DID HURT MY WRIST ALSO. SEE A DOCTOR IF PAIN PERSISTS! MAKE SURE YOUR VIOLIN TEACHER KNOWS YOUR IN PAIN. EASE UP. MASAGE YOUR HANDS AND FIND A YOGA INSTRUCTOR WHO DOES HAND EXERCISES AND FINGER EXERCISES. THERE ARE VIOLIN STRETCHING EXERCISES THESE SHOULD HELP. INDEPENDANCE OF THE FINGERS BY DUMAS IS RECOMENDED ALSO WALLACE RICHEYS CHATS WITH VIOLIINISTS HAS HAND GYMNASTICS I HAVE USED OCCASIONALLY.YES LEFT HAND ACHES ARE NORMAL I WOULD SAY. YOUR USING MUSTLES AND TENNONS THAT ARE NOT USED TO MOVING IN THAT WAY. GO SLOW GO EASY DONT OVER DO IT. PRACTICE 5 MIN. THEN REST. I KNOW ITS VERY PAINFUL. WHEN YOU GET INTO CHORDS THERE IS PAIN INVOLVED. MAKE SURE YOU STRETCH BEFORE YOU START PLAYING THE CHORDS. THAT IS SOMETHING I TOO HAVE OVERLOOKED. ANY COMPETANT INSTRUCTOR SHOULD HAVE YOU STRETCH YOUR HANDS FIRST TO EASE DISCOMFORT. THIS IS ESSENTI A L IN BALLET AS IT IS IN VIOLIN PLAYING. STAY AWAY FROM CHIROPRACTORS! IF YOUR IN PAIN SEE AN M.D. OR EXERCISE THERAPIST WHO IS LICENSED. WARM WATER MAY HELP. GOOD LUCK!😅
Dear Amanda Violin Girl! I'm pretty sure you will be able to do vibrato! On G and D string. Just swing your elbow so you can reach your G and D strings. Remember knock side rock fro. HEATHERS AN EASIER WAY VIDIO AND TAKE NICOLAS BEGINNING VIBRATO AND I BELIEVE IF YOU WILL PRACTCE 5 MIN A DAY YOU WILL BEGIN TO ACHIEVE VIBRATO ON G AND D. FOCUS ON A STRING FIRST AND GET THAT DOWN PAT. THEN SHIFT YOUR THUMB UNDER THE NECK TO REACH THE G AND D STRINGS. JUST BECAUSE YOU MAY HAVE SMALL HANDS YOU CAN STILL PLAY THE VIOLIN. LOOK UP VIOLIN STARS VIDIO SHE TACKLES SMALL HAND ISSUES. JUST PRACTICE A LITTLE EACH DAY.😅
