Idk if you found out but shidens mask was setos its quite a great story if you gave him the chance hes not that bad hes just tsun lol. But ya he got it from his bonding. As a note you only get final cutscenes with characters at bond 6
I loved the kasane fight tbh as it gives you the counters to the 2 then you are the counter to the main boss. (Aka either kasane or yuito) cause a perfect dodge against psychokinesis allows you to use your own to throw it back. Also ya you missed a lot of bond episodes.
I finished this game today. And this E ending is an beautiful, poetic and very emotive love story about Kaine and Nier. Kaine's Sword History have a little message about that.
This game destroyed me when I first played it and left me in a depression for like 2 weeks when I finished it in 2017. I got so attached to the world that I just didn't want the story to end. I wanted it to go forever.

I said this during the stream but it bears repeating: the way they handle the burning of Niebelheim is perfect. It feels like you’re witnessing a slasher villain’s rampage and you feel powerless to stop him. The way Sephiroth kills people feels like he barely notices that they’re even there, they’re practically mosquitoes to him.
I completely agree. They did an absolutely amazing job with this. As fans we've played through this so many times but I still felt all those same emotions and honestly more intense.
