Hello people! There is a new booktuber in town. Check out my videos if you share the same love for the books. I love reading all kinds of books from fiction to non fiction to middle grade to adult. My thing is read what you feel like, there are no bad books, only wrong audience. Hang out here for bookish content and book recommendations.
@@readwithsusmitha3336 I found out that there's a sequel to the book called The Prisoner of Heaven. Have you checked it out? I prefer shadow of the wind as a standalone and am worried to be potentially disappointed with the sequel
I finished this last last week and loved it! Like you mentioned, it was the perfect match of fantasy, romance, and suspense. A few other things I liked: most conflicts resolved in a couple of pages since it's introduction (unlike a lot of other, longer fantasy novels). And this duology was a page-turner! All (almost) the chapters ended with a cliffhanger and I couldn't wait to finish it. And again just like you, I appreciated the "mild-romance" (10/10 points for it; although it did seem abrupt, rushed and unnecessary at times) And finally, kudos for a strong female character and ROMAN IS SUCH A CUTIE!
@@jananisreeganesh glad you too had the same experience with this book. Yes I agree it was a page turner with cliff hangers in each chapter. At times the story did feel abrupt and incomplete, like I said I wanted to know more about the gods. That storyline in itself had so much potential to make an entire fantasy series. It’s sad that I never got to those gods who died in the graves. Anyways I guess the author wanted to focus on the love and it’s okay 🫶❤️
Hi there, love all your choices of books.Iam curious about some of your suggestions towards the end of your video. What are your views of J RR Tolkien,Ruskin Bond & William Dalrymple's books.Have you read them?Much bestwishes. 🙌💙♾️💐.
@@sbbaruah6230 hi thank you so much ☺️ I haven’t read any jrr Tolkien yet. Have read Ruskin bond as a child and enjoyed them. As for William dalrymple I have read only Kohinoor by him which is a non fiction but I enjoyed it so much.
@readwithsusmitha3336 Thanks so much for your response.Actually I want to read Tolkien''s books myself & so I I wanted to know your views.I love Rus- kin Bonds work too.I have few books of W.Dalym.too & planning to read them. Appreciate everything that you share. Thanks again & good day.👍💙♾️
I'm so glad that you picked up the girl the cat and the navigator. It's such a lovely read☺️ I also suggested Pony by R J Palacio. I'd love to hear about that book from you. Are these books-the shadow of the wind and the grace of kings beginner-friendly reads? Lovely recommendations. 🤍👍🏽
@@rojaachar thanks for recommending it I loved reading it 😍 will get to other recs soon. No shadow of the wind and grace of kings both are not beginner friendly. They are bit difficult to read initially
I've just stepped into the cosmere. Read only 200 pages of mistborn. And, my god what an introduction for me into the fantasy world. Warbreaker is a stand alone but I think it's good to read it after reading the first book in the stormlight archive, the way of kings. I also want to read the dandelion dynasty series but the first book is too costly for me. It's over 900 rupees. 😢
@@VoxCentral hi there. I’m stepping into commerce for the first time and I’m having my time. 😃 definitely planning to read all the comers books out there. About dandelion series try Amazon I got it for ₹450.
You are only showing major stores. To be honest, I see nothing but emptiness everywhere in these stories. I have never seen literature in shops much less literary versions in all the shops you showed.
Woww, I have a few same books on my TBR (inorder to live, yellow face, the very secret society of irregular witches and the thistlefoot). Oh btw, love your unique book recommendations and that beautiful bookshelf :)
I have somehow managed to overcome my urge of over-buying books. I was never a book reader but this year something changed. I was able to gain focus and finish 8 books till now (which is a big achievement for me). I have a small personal collection of books now out of which 13 are unread at home. This includes the thickest one of my collection 'IT by Stephen King' with 1100+ pages , I will pick that up at last. Really looking forward to it. So what I had decided at the beginning of this year was that everytime I like a book and really get the urge to buy it.. I will add it to my 'wish-list'. Almost every other day I like to spend time on the wish-list, sorting books and prioritizing them. I will buy only when I am done books in hand. This give me time to avoide any impulse buying and only get books that I will really really prefer. More than anything now when I lookback I realise, I have changed so much.. keeping track of books in wishlist.. what.. I never did this before. Really loving it..
Cool list 👌 Shadow of the wind has piqued my interest! Got my copy of “..irregular witches” delivered on Sunday. Waiting for the read! Nice that you have included Jane Eyre!

Great list of suggestions, i have a couple of these on my bookshelf. I will probably get into spinning silver pretty soon. I enjoyed a deadly education by novik.
I love standalone fantasy books - committing to a series is such a big ask of readers, especially if you've never read anything from the author, and when those tomes are so thiiiick! I'm adding the Kingdom of Back to my list. I want to read more about music, so this sounds perfect!!! I loved Circe :) This was my favorite book pick for the mid year freak out tag, so a real contender for my favorite book of the year. Although I'm planning to pick up Song of Achilles in August, so Madeline Miller will be competing with herself 😂
Hey Sushmita!! I came back to this video to thank you - Thanks a ton - I ordered books from Bookforest & it's actually an amazing website for buying books at reasonable price & that too in such condition.
Nice video. I adored Spinning Silver and Piranesi was so good. Susanna Clarke's other novel Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell (also standalone) is an all-time favourite of mine. I preferred The Night Circus to The Starless Sea and Song of Achilles to Circe but all interesting reads. Happy reading!
So glad to have found your channel - really enjoyed hearing your answers to this tag. I'm going to publish my own video in a few days and it's the first time I'm doing this tag, I'm super excited ^^ I'm having a blast watching everybody's videos 💛 The Vanishing Half has been on my TBR for ages, I've only heard good things about it!
