Wow, this is brilliant. I was born in 1999 and had personally never heard this program before. But another radio DJ who is a massive inspiration to me often talks about how Tom Wilson was one of his inspirations. Now I can understand why will look to see if I can find any more of these.
Stepping Out was amazing, apart from the news break at the top of the hour. You had to pause the tape... aye coz none of us were recording it... not allowed
Would sit in my pals house with the old fm radio the aerial pointing out the window so we could pick up forth fm to listen. Cassette in the tape deck to record the tunes. Great memories with good pals. Thanks uncle Tom
