Law Enforcement Action Partnership is a nonprofit of law enforcement professionals, including police, judges, prosecutors, and corrections officials, advocating for criminal justice reforms that will make communities safer. We seek to rebuild trust between the police and the public, which has been damaged severely by unjust criminal justice policies on national and local levels.
@CopsSayLegalizeDrugs I think you can add your website image "the tree of the war on drug consequences" as the thumbnail, intro and outro to this video without reseting the views
SUMARIZED IN ONE SENTENCE: COPS ARE (people who want to be respected heros so bad that they are easily tricked into being forced to be highly paid to be the largest, most funded)......... TERRORIST-group in the world! Why: Because just like the religous extremest terrorists idea of "God" & "Evil" & Holy(Hero) , the word "drug" is a nonsensical newspeak that defined as, our government overlords have scientifically researched what and when are the best chemicals to put in your body. When in reality, they have completely failed due dillgence in every aspect of this. Look how they even botched just the basic simple food pyramid. There are recordings of scientists testifying in the hearing of how unscientific it was when they were passing it. And everything in between for the entire FDA and big pharma debautery. Both my brothers are cops, and have to choose now between being able to feed their kids and participating in the modern slavery kindergarten to incarceration industrial complex.
He is absolutely correct! All of em should be legal and the government should put policies in place to ensure that the drugs are pure. The problem with some drugs is that they aren’t pure.
My father was a police officer in the 70's and was highly decorated. He was only able to work undercover narcotics for just over a year. It was long enough for him to realize he was ruining families. He quit, and was probably one of the first people to counsel addicts. He saved so many lives and families. Law enforcement knows exactly what they're doing. They're getting money to buy fun toys off every drug arrest they make. No grant money for catching a rapist or murderer, but get an addict with a small baggie of white stuff, and jackpot! $$$. Boss is happy, comrades are happy, and the following year you'll have new toys to help catch more people who just need help. Thanks for all you do. Don't stop.
I mean, because there is is no safe space for substance users to turn to, thats why you see cracked out individuals trying to hide in corners in public spaces literally shooting up so what the point is with not wanting to see it coming out of the grocery store... you can already find plenty of places in the USA where you see exactly that. Because these people were caught with a little baggie one bad night of their life, forced out of work as apart of the ripple effect, leading to homelessness, so the only place they have a choice but to have the tiniest relief from the cruelty of reality is the corner of our public spaces. To be further preyed upon by law enforcement due to the circumstances they find themselves in.
The best thing I ever heard well said .Stop the caging of people who were just doing what they wanted to do. Start focusing on sex offenders who ironically are getting less time than citizens of the United States of America who had drugs in there own homes
Great vid. By any metric, the US "War on drugs" has been a massive costly (in lives and $$$) failure and lost a long time ago, yet we continue. It's well established via real world historical experiences, knowledge of human behavior, and economics 101 on supply and demand regardless of legality, the prohibition does not work, ever, full stop. It never has, it never will... Some in the LE community "get" it, and are starting to push harder for another direction.
So now that the court case has concluded, why was this mentioned on television again? So quick to gain attention in the media but to be so wrong and miss so many facts. And about multiple separate incidents also!
Im a National Populist Reoublican known as a Trump supportive republican. This issue it the one that we on both sides can come together over. Leta end the failed drug war ASAP!
It IS sending the wrong message. In the times we are living in it only serves the Republican parties plans to undermine democracy and plays into there hands to say we want to dismantle police departments. Not true. We want better policing standards and policies. We want social workers and mental health officers going out on calls to deescalate situations so they don't have to end in death.
"Extreme. But effective." Bruh, philipines drug prices have gotten lower since the war on drugs. And the police allow drug cartels to sell drugs. What a blatant lie.
Actually, the war on drugs didn't necessarily fail. When they decreased the effort on the war on drugs, crime went up. Legalization has also ultimately failed so far. He's a cop, he's certainly not an expert on what he's talking about.
WAR ON DRUGS IS A WAR ON PEOPLE FOR PROFIT BY THE FEDERAL AND STATE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES TO CREATE A VIOLENT AND DEADLY CRIMINAL UNDERCLASS. DRUGS SHOULD BE LEGALIZED BECAUSE ILLEGAL DRUGS CREATE CRIMINALITY AND A VERY PROFITABLE BLACK MARKET. IT IS AGAINST THE RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OF EVERY AMERICAN ALL DRUGS SHOULD BE LEGAL AND MEDICINIALIZED AND RECREATED FOR THE BETTERMENT OF SOCIETY. ITS A HEALTH THING NOT A CRIMINAL ACT TO USE DRUGS AND PEOPLE WHO USE DRUGS ARENT EVIL AND DRUGS ARENT 'BAD'JUST HOW YOU SEE AND USE THE DRUGS, IT'S APART OF LIFE LIKE BREATHING AIR OR GETTING SUNSHINE ON THE SKIN. LEGALIZE ALL DRUGS!!!
Just like George Carlin said, " you start nailing one white middle class republican banker to a giant cross on national tv, your gonna see that drug trade decrease dramatically real quick, you wont even be able to buy drugs in schools and prisons anymore".
Less than five years from now, everything will be legal across the board. Everything. Call er a hunch, I reckon... but it seems like it'll be a Government move of desperation. I could be wrong, I'm not but I could be. We've had disclosure of advanced technology beyond our understanding. The Government isn't going away... I think it's just finally getting sharpened by the public. The media giants won't last either. anyway, those are my cents. Imagine how happy and productive our country will be after the initial shock and single wave of death by overdose.
I don't like the fact it takes a life time in the force to realise it shouldn't be illegal. Watch this video. Every officer who worked against the war on drugs has played a part in ruining lives and allowing murder. It's not their fault they were brain washed but it doesn't excuse it either. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-t9OiiiFgYcw.html
This is the answer. Thanks Captain (ret). Make sense answers to every single objection! HANDS DOWN! We have been IDIOTS! Please stop the nonsensical war on drugs. WHAT A WASTE! It will save America and Mexico to start (almost immediately) and several other countries will be saved after the US demand goes away. This has the potential to benefit American society so much. More than anything else we could do.
