Hi, my name is Liz I am a non professional home gardener shining brightly for Christ! My garden is located in California Zone 9b. My videos are all about small space gardening, gardening on a budget and making the most of what I have in order to be happy. Not only am I obsessed with Gods beautiful creation but I crave color too. Therefore I have incorporated yard sale finds, thrift store treasures and hand painted doors in my garden making it my little happy place.
I hope my videos bring you joy, inspiration and make you SMILE : )
Good morning my friend and thank you so much for taking the time to comment. As I am out walking today, wondering on what to say to my viewers for my next Sunday morning with God I pray for encouragement and clarity. Then I read your beautiful message. 🙏😇❤️Liz
watching from Brasil! I love your veggie garden space, I have those exact eggplants, it was a suprise to see the shape of them, the plant is loaded so I am excited to see them mature!
Hello there Wanubijohari1 and thank you for taking the time to visit m. Yes I agree those cute little eggs plants produce SO MANY!!!! I believe they are called, "Black Beauties" such a great plant. I am excited for you too! Best of luck from California to you in Brasil xoxoxox Liz
Sun gold cherry tomatoes are the best. I didn't find any last season. All my plants are doing better now that the high AZ low desert heat is easing up!!! Finally getting tomatoes, eggplant and bell peppers!
Hi June I’m glad your plants are doing better. Sungold cherry tomatoes were definitely hard to find this year. It seems like all the garden centers were trying to sell the sun sugar, which in my opinion are not as good. But I finally was able to find the Sungold. I agree they are the best. I hope you continue to enjoy your vegetables now they are doing better and taking off. Thanks for taking the time to visit me. ❤️🥰👍Liz
Amazing how much you can harvest from a small area - I love it! I especially love all of the color in your “today’s harvest”’photo. I’m in awe that you have chickens and fresh eggs - oh how I would love that! God Bless you and your garden 🙏🏼 Thank you for sharing❤️❤️❤️
Awwww thank you so much Diane for your encouraging comment. I have a very small home and equally small yard. But God has blessed me with what I have and I try to make the most of it. Fresh chicken eggs are the best. Are you planning to go to the Oakdale autumn Garden tour this Saturday! It would be so much fun to run into you and meet you! ❤️👍🥰Liz
Small spaces are a great way to utilize growing potential. I use those black pots to grow all sorts of plants you have the ability to move them to different locations to enhance growth. Garden Happy has developed a functional alley garden that's protected from winds and the stucco is a nice backdrop for extra heat reflection especially for tomato, eggplant, pepper, and okra that love the warm. What a lovely abundant harvest Miss Liz, isn't it such a sense of gratification when you plant seeds and they grow into an edible bounty. Enjoy and have a blessed day.
Yes, Kelly, you are absolutely right. Growing them in pots gives us the flexibility of moving them around. You make such a good point. And yes I agree the satisfaction of growing things from seed is such a reward!!! I always appreciate your comments and encouragement! 😇❤️😇❤️Liz
I tthink your eggplant could be the black beauty. But you can get the big one or long type.i gree the pingtong which long also little finger slender nad shorter. Both git it feom baker creek.theirs othee variety of eggplant..i did try the white one as well.something japanese.nit ky favirite though.but good for making bouquet
Oh my goodness Faye you are RIGHT!!! It’s Black Beauty! Now that you say that I remember that was the name on the label. Thank you! Appreciate you taking the tine to comment. 👍👍👍Liz
I think you missed your calling Miss Liz. Beautiful commentary, such calming words of hope and joy. I always say if you take more time to enjoy what you have instead of wishing and wanting what you don't have you wouldn't miss out on the here and now.
Thanks Liz, appreciate the tour and soil tips. Love your success in a small area, especially your pepper crop. My 3 year old lunchbox pepper is recovered and languishing in my bathtub. It’s covered with flowers but few pollinators find their way in. We’re still in a heatwave (Tucson, Arizona) so I won’t put it out until we stay under 100. Your gardens are amazing!🌵🌷🥦😘🥬💖☀️🍉
Good morning Barbara so fun that you grow a pepper in your bathtub. Lunch box is such a great choice!!! the heat this year has been rough. We are about to get another wave as well! When will it ever end!!!! I am ready to move to the mountains! Hahaha I admire your perseverance living in Arizona. Thank you for taking the time to comment this morning. 🙏❤️😇Liz
Good morning my garden friends! I don't always show this area in my back yard too much. Its a very narrow area where I try and utilize the space the best I can. Thankfully it does get a lot of sun so I am able to grow veggies and compost in buckets too!
Hi Ginger….. if you ever grow veggies in pots I can tell you that i had AWESOME success with all veggies but NOT corn or cucumbers. Those grow best in the ground. As far as winter goes… (depending on your zone) you can grow spinach, kale, radish, carrots, cabbage, broccoli and peas. They like the cooler weather. Kale is one of the most cold tolerant plants and radishes grow the fastest! 👍👍👍Liz
Oh my goodness that is so exciting. I’m so happy for you. They are so much fun and grow up so fast in a couple more days your little babies will have wings. What kind of l baby chicks did you get? ❤️🥰😇Liz
Good morning my friend. This is a beautiful Sunday morning and to God be the Glory. I love morning glories although they do only bloom once per flower. Your garden is so alive and colorful. Amen, we should trust that God will provide each day and not go ahead of him. I love your message and your garden. 🙏🙏👏👏👏👍👍👍🌴🌴
Thank you so much notafraidtogarden. . . yes GOD be the Glory!!! I hope when I am in heaven I will be able to create a beautiful garden for Him! Appreciate you taking the time to visit me. xoxoxox Liz

You are so right Veronica there are so many Bible scriptures to talk about this. Sometimes when I preach and give advice, it’s for my own self as well. I need to remind myself of this all the time. Thank you for taking the time to comment I appreciate your words of encouragement.😇🙏❤️Liz
God has blessed me in so many ways and continues today! It is amazing how many people show up to help me in my time of need! Life situations have left me needing help to survive. I am not happy about being dependent but I have to accept it which is hard on a woman that likes to be independent. But I helped others in so many ways when I was younger and I believe this is now my turn to accept the help God sends me! God is good!!! Thank you for this beautiful video on this Sunday! Sending love from AZ and pray you have a Blessed day!
Hello June thank you for sharing your beautiful words and story with me. I love your attitude and you are so right June, I too like being independent, but I’m getting to the point where I have to accept my age and realize sometimes I need help. Arrrgggg…. But then I ask myself. Why do I feel that way? Is that pride? You have a great outlook on life, and yes, God is so good all the time. Appreciate you taking the time to visit me. Your comments are always so encouraging. 🙏😇❤️Liz
Sharing God's word among the colorful flowers, and the most beautiful frame of precious kitty sitting so still and content behind the puffy yellow Marigolds is truly confirmation of his word. Thank you Liz. Blessings to you and yours
Good morning Katherine thank you for taking the time to stop by. Sometimes I have to remind myself as well to slow down and embrace His love. 👍👍👍 Have a beautiful beautiful.Sunday! 😇🙏❤️Liz
Good morning ☀️ You know we live in a world where we think about material things and we are in a hurry and we don’t have time to stop and see the wonders that God offers us. Bur fortunately, I stopped to see some of those wonders in your beautiful garden. 🙏💐🌷Thank you Liz have a wonderful day. Blessings ✨
Good morning oneideaandino6677 you are so right!!! Our world is definitely consumed with material things and we are often in a hurry. I have been guilty of being in a hurry at times too, which is why I quit my job for a while. When I preach and give advice, it’s sometimes for me as well. Haha I needed to stop and smell the roses. I appreciate you taking the time to visit me and hope you have a beautiful day.🌸❤️🥰Liz
Thank you for your inspirational words with your soothing voice and your beautiful flowers blooming sooo well!! It’s true each day is a gift from God. God bless you, your family and your beautiful cat😊❤
Good morning my garden friends I hope you all make tine today to stop and smell the roses. . yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, Today is a gift, That’s why it’s called the present. May you have a beautiful and very BLESSED day! ❤️👍🥰Liz
Hello and thank you for the scripture Joshuanurse-endtimewatcher I appreciate your comment. I totally agree. . . I worship HIM everyday, not just once a week. How did our society get stuck on Sunday???? 🤔 Liz
@@GardenHappy hmmm because sunday WILL BE the mark of the beast/papacy mark of authority/sabbath vs Sunday will be spiritual battle before Jesus comes the battle of Armageddon rev 7v1-3/rev 15v2 results rev 22v14/yes we can worship Jesus everyday but he gave us the Sabbath to have a date with him a day he blessed sanctified and hallowed that's the difference from other days genesis 2v2 exodus 20v8 Hebrews 4v4v9 rev 14v7
Yes Joshua. . . I seek His face every day and pray for His return!!! I hope to take care of gardens for Jesus in my eternal place!!! I can't wait to see how creation was meant to be like in the beginning. Thank you for taking the time to comment. xoxoxox Liz
Thank you so much, Jeri I appreciate you chiming in and offering your input about the sign. I’m so excited to be home again. Thank you for the comment! ❤️👍🥰Liz
Oh my goodness you've retired! I'm so proud of you!!! What a big step in faith. With God nothing is impossible. He's going take good care of you. Amazing how you transformed something so basic into a work of art. And where it was put was the perfect place.
Thank you so much story-tlr your comment means the world to me. I appreciate your kind words and encouragement. a total leap of faith!!! And yes, I couldn’t agree more about nothing being impossible for God. Who knows someday I may share my testimony to prove that to be true. Again, I appreciate you taking the time to visit me and hope you have an amazing day. 🥰❤️👍Liz
