This video was a great help for my backpacking trip tomorrow. Thank you, it’s an excellent video. I am going pump peak backpacking with friends tomorrow. Can we park at the closest spot to the trailhead, at the ski resort parking lot? And when did you visit?
@@smokingbluegrass thank you! I chose title based on RU-vid SEO. I’m glad you liked the video since editing takes a fair bit of time, seeing your comment made my day! :)
Really awesome video! Well done. Great narration, great angles, and very informative. I'm guessing that water was icy cold. I'll be sure to look at any other videos you have because of this one. Thanks for posting it and doing the job you did!
@@bennywilks9367 thanks a lot! I’m glad you loved the video and the cinematography!! 😅 I have posted a bunch of other videos related to Vancouver. There’s a playlist called Vancouver on my channel too that has other videos! Seeing this video do well in just span of 2 days feel really surreal and has motivated me to keep creating more videos! :)
@@jaredwong1791 it depends on your current level? 😂 if you like hard hikes you’ll be fine. - carry poles as they’ll help on the way down carry shorts and towel to get into the lake haha - it’s not super steep so you’ll be okay have fun!!
@better.present appreciate your response and words! I'm an RMT but I have bad knees with my slim build. So I think I will have to do some extra lunges and stairmaster this week at the gym. Also, maybe buy some knee braces. But yes, for sure poles. My experience level with longhikes is minimal to none. I've done Joffres (last week, coming down my knees were feeling it), grouse grind month ago (it was tough, but alhamdulillah I made it), some years ago did Chief, st Mark's, Tunnel bluffs, I guess intermediate? Would you say cramp ons are not necessary? I may bring some advil for the knees if its really bad. Ice plunge will be nice too 😁 any other tips would be appreciated!
@@jaredwong1791 this definitely is longer than those hikes and might be harder on knees on the way back - so take your time and start early to give yourself enough time to get back. :) Its really a lot of elevation gain so only do it if you’re comfortable- considering your knees. The boulders aren’t exposed - so you can take your time coming down but it’s still a long hike and with good elevation gain. Chief is 600 and this is more like 1300
@better.present oh wow double then the Chief.. Good to know! I really want to do while I can while I'm still alive! Thank you again:) I subscribed and followed you on Ig! Have a blessed week!
My stove wasn't working and it was leaking gas that's why i relied on my friend's stove for cooking lol I woke up with the bite marks of bugs and felt itchy the whole night last night lol I was seeing bugs even where there were no bugs. But it was a funnnn trip! :)
Great video, and beautiful shot of sunrise. Request if can you make a video showing what you typically pack for backcountry camping with links of the items you bought from (if online) or reference for offline purchases as a recommendation. Would be great for someone who wants to start hiking/camping as beginner. Cheers!
Thanks Ankita! Glad you loved it! I have a video on tips it should answer most of your questions but I’ll do a packing video in 2 days when I leave for my next trip! :)
Whilst there’s plenty of books - you can start with I Will Teach You to be Rich by Ramit Sethi. You can also watch the videos on his RU-vid channel. for Canada specific investment knowledge I recommend watching Canadian in a T-shirt, RU-vid channel. He has a playlist called millennial investing guide, but you can also watch as other videos. Once have solid foundational understanding you can watch Ben Felix’s RU-vid Channel. That is pretty much all you need.
So sad there nothing to do up there except just viewing for almost $100. Mostly family would go there there. Should have more stuff to do. Like lots of shopping. Restaurant entertainment. Hot tub swim in and outdoor activities. Street foods etc
Thank you!! I got burnt out while creating videos so I haven’t posted since forever. I created these videos to have memories of my parents visit to look back to. But comments like yours every once in a while make me feel glad I created this video :) Feels really good to see the views still increasing haha.
